    What to do if the flight is canceled

    If the flight was canceled more than 24 hours before departure, then passengers are transferred to similar flights of the airline. The costs are borne by the carrier, the service is free for the passenger. If none of the options offered by the airline suits you, most airlines can issue a " forced return". After confirmation by the airline, the money will be returned to your account. Sometimes this may take several weeks.

    How to check in at the airport

    Online check-in is available on the websites of most airlines. Most often, it opens 23 hours before the start of the flight. You can go through it no later than 1 hour before the departure of the aircraft.

    To check in at the airport you will need:

    • the identity card specified in the order,
    • birth certificate when traveling with children,
    • printed itinerary receipt (optional).
  • What can you take on a plane

    Hand luggage is the items that you take with you on the plane. Weight norm hand luggage can vary from 5 to 10 kg, and its size most often should not exceed the sum of three dimensions (length, width and height) from 115 to 203 cm (depending on the airline). A handbag is not considered hand luggage and is carried freely.

    The bag that you take with you on the plane should not contain knives, scissors, medicines, aerosols, cosmetics. Alcohol from stores duty free can only be carried in sealed bags.

    How to pay for luggage at the airport

    If the baggage weight exceeds the norms established by the airline (most often - 20-23 kg), you need to pay for each kilogram of excess. In addition, many Russian and foreign airlines, as well as low-cost airlines, have tariffs that do not include free baggage allowance and must be paid separately as an additional service.

    Baggage must be checked in at the airport at a separate drop-off check-in counter. If you are unable to print boarding pass, you can get it at the usual check-in counter of the airline, and check in and check in your luggage there.

    Where to find out the arrival time if you are a greeter

    You can find out the time of arrival of the aircraft on the online scoreboard of the airport. The Tutu.ru website has an online scoreboard of the main Russian and foreign airports.

    You can find out the exit (gate) number on the arrivals board at the airport. This number is located next to the arrival flight information.

Sheremetyevo is a new major airport in Russia. In addition, he entered the list of the largest airports on the European continent. The planes of all airlines that are engaged in international flights depart from here.

About 97 thousand people pass through the territory of Sheremetyevo Airport every day, this number grows to 35 million people a year.

Airliners are constantly taking off and landing here. The area occupied by Sheremetyevo and all its terminals is huge. That is why it is so important to be aware of their location. Let's take a closer look at the airport plan, access roads, public transport stops and private vehicles.

Plan of Sheremetyevo Airport: Terminals of the Southern Complex

The unified scheme of terminals is made in the same style and according to general principles. They are placed at the information stands of Sheremetyevo Airport due to the huge passenger traffic and expanded infrastructure. This solution allows tourists to better navigate the place.

The path to the South Terminal Complex lies along the railway route. He goes from Moscow to final stop Sheremetyevo International Terminal. You can get from the city to the desired flight using Aeroexpress. Transport departs from Belorussky railway station every 20-30 minutes throughout the day. The train does not make stops, so the whole journey takes a little more than half an hour.

The southern complex is represented by three operating terminals - D, E and F, which serve domestic and international flights. The Aeroexpress train arrives at the station, from where you can go to the desired part of the terminal. Inside the building there are inscriptions and cursors that help you navigate in this area of the complex. Also here is detailed diagram Sheremetyevo.

Terminal D

This compartment serves domestic and international flights. The building contains 4 levels:

  • 1st floor (aircraft arrivals hall);
  • on the 2nd there are comfortable waiting rooms for passengers, they also lead to parking spaces;
  • 3rd is for those who check in before departure. There are 99 counters for checking documents, access to the other two terminals of the complex, as well as access to runways 1-3 and 5-8;
  • 4th opens access to runways 11-32.

The entire complex of terminals is designed for the needs of guests and air passengers. At their disposal are recreation areas, cafeterias, mother and child rooms and much more.

Terminal E

On the map of Sheremetyevo Airport, Department E is clearly visible. The first floor of this building is reserved for the arrivals area.

On the second one there are registration desks, as well as exits - to terminal F and the train stop. From the third floor, passengers go to take-off areas 33-41.

Terminal F

At Sheremetyevo Airport, this terminal is the largest. It consists of five floors, where the first two have the same purpose as the other departments. Runways 42-58 open from the third level, the fourth is completely reserved for restaurants. The 5th floor has placed a museum on its territory, which can be visited by all guests.

Scheme of Sheremetyevo Airport and the terminals of the Northern Complex

The map of Sheremetyevo clearly shows the location of this complex. It occupies a place in the northern part of the building and is under reconstruction. So far, all the terminals that function here are zones A and C. Unlike other terminals, air transportation services are provided here for business customers and passengers of business airlines.

It is expected that after the completion of the restoration, the Northern Terminal Complex will increase its capacity to 40 million people a year. Points A, C can withstand a passenger flow of 15 million people. Together with Terminal B, which is temporarily out of service, an underground corridor is expected to open, connecting both sections of the building.

Terminal A

The scheme, where Sheremetyevo is revealed in great detail, point A is located on four floors. The 1st and 2nd levels perform work according to the standard principle, like the rest of the terminal objects. On the 3rd and 4th floors, in addition to access to the runways and recreation areas, the largest duty-free zone in Europe has been built. From terminal A there is a passage to the parking lot, it is designed for a thousand places. Tourists and citizens can leave their vehicle for the duration of the trip.

Terminal C

Service Point C operated until April 2017. It is under renovation until 2018, so for some time no one can use charter services in this area. Scheme of the airport by floors:

  1. place of registration and issue of luggage;
  2. branches of Sberbank and Russian Post;
  3. passage to sites 1-11;
  4. business hall;
  5. VIP waiting area.

Sheremetyevo International Airport, which serves about 90 thousand people daily, and about 30 million a year, rightfully ranks third in the world in terms of passenger traffic. To receive such a huge number of passengers, one terminal is not enough, so there are five of them at the airport. The scheme of Sheremetyevo Airport, presented below, will help you not to get confused in the variety of zones.

So, Sheremetyevo Airport, all the terminals in 2018, what they are.

Conventionally, the airport is divided into two complexes:

  1. South Terminal Complex (UTK)
  2. Northern Terminal Complex (STK)

This division was not made by chance, for example, in the Southern complex, the monopolist in air traffic is Aeroflot (however, this does not mean the absence of other airlines).

STC consists of three interconnected terminals:

  1. D(D).
  2. E (E).
  3. F (F).

The layout of the terminals is shown below.

STK is the center of two buildings - B (B) and A (A), previously they also included terminal C ©, but at the moment it is under reconstruction, like terminal B before.

Terminal D map is considered the busiest, as the building consists of three main and one basement floor.

The first floor is the arrivals area, which is divided between international and domestic flights.

If you are facing the building, on the right side they meet passengers who have arrived from abroad, but on the left, those who have used the services of domestic flights.

In addition to the welcoming areas, the building on the ground floor houses several cafes, souvenir shops, taxi, hotel and information desks (standard Moscow set).

The second floor, or more correctly the second tier, is a kind of transition zone, with an abundance of premium and economy class lounges, a mother and child room, and toilets. It will be easy for the passenger to find where the toilet or hall should be superior comfort the abundance of pointers will not let you get lost.

You can go up to the second floor by escalator or elevator.

Departure is carried out on the third floor, of course, the boarding gate is fenced off from the check-in area by customs and passport (for domestic flights only passport) controls and the passenger screening area.

If you stand facing the check-in counters, domestic flights are on the left, and international flights are in the center.

The floor plan is shown below.

As for parking, there is a fifteen-minute express zone in front of the entrance to the building, and you can leave your car there absolutely free of charge. However, don't fall for this trick. Traffic at the airport is slow and heavy (Moscow - Big city, and the area is even larger, there are many departures and arrivals). In this regard, you will spend 15 minutes only to get as quickly as possible (as far as possible) to the point of unloading (loading) of passengers and leaving the airport.

Terminal E

The closest to terminal D - E, it is connected to it by a covered walkway, but it also has a central entrance where you can drive up by car.
The building has three floors, which is somewhat reminiscent of Terminal D. So, the arrivals area is located on the first floor. The main differences start above, the boarding gate and check-in counters are spaced on different floors (second floor - check-in, third floor - boarding). For the convenience of passengers, the building is equipped with a huge number of signs that should show how to get to a particular place. So, to paraphrase a well-known French phrase - look for an index ...

Terminal F

The location of terminal F is convenient in terms of parking. A huge number of parking lots allows you to leave vehicles near the entrance to the building.

Nominally, this is the largest building, however, in terms of passenger traffic, it is less than D, since it receives and sends much fewer passengers.

There are five floors in the building:

  • the first is the arrival hall;
  • the second is the registration area;
  • third - gates;
  • the fourth is a zone for eating (a restaurant and a dining room are located here);
  • the fifth is the Museum of the History of Sheremetyevo Airport.

Generally, this terminal was built specifically for the Olympics and was originally prepared for the reception foreign guests. Here is one of the largest VIP halls, the interior entourage is striking in its splendor.

An interesting point - there is a so-called sterile zone in STC, and if a person has passed registration and passport control, he can move absolutely freely between the three terminals within the zone. And this is a huge number of shops, cafes and one of the largest Duty Free zones.

North Terminal Complex

It's comparatively new complex, well, to be completely accurate, its updated version. Thus, the development of STP is carried out through the reconstruction of terminals, which, according to their technical and external features (both outside and inside), are obsolete.

The structure of STK includes terminals:

Which were originally designed for the transportation of premium segment passengers, but later the plans changed and Terminal B was given over to domestic flights, and with the rest everything remained the same as before.

The STK airfield, according to the builders' idea, after the opening of all terminals by 2030 will be able to serve up to 40 million passengers a year.

Terminal A

Designed to serve passengers of business and charter flights, it additionally assumed the burden of servicing flights that Terminal C should accept (closed for reconstruction).

Most the best way– study the airport map on the official website –

The building has four floors:

  1. The first is the arrivals hall.
  2. The second is the check-in area for departing passengers.
  3. The third and fourth are the gates and the largest Duty Free in Europe.

Terminal B

This is the most new terminal on the territory of Sheremetyevo, since it opened in 2018. Designed for the reception and departure of passengers promoting domestic tourism. Almost all domestic flights, which are still scattered throughout the complex, will be transferred here. This was done to streamline passenger traffic and eliminate the confusion that often arises (according to Yandex and Google, there are frequent cases of being late for a flight due to problems with transport accessibility).

Now this problem has been solved, Sheremetyevo has opened its own metro line. True, it is impossible to call it a full-fledged subway, but nevertheless, this is a big step forward.

The metro station is located close to the airport terminal (the aeroexpress train departs from here to the Belorussky railway station). Between terminals D and E, and there is a train to terminal B.

Terminal B has two floors:

  • the first is the check-in and arrival area;
  • the second is the departure zone.
