Boeing 777 200 Aeroflot seating chart. Nord wind airlines, North wind

Nordwind Airlines uses 2 Boeing 777-200ER aircraft for long-haul or high-traffic flights. In data configuration aircraft There are two classes of service: business and economy. The passenger capacity of the airliner is 393 people.

Let's take a closer look at the cabin configuration and find out which seats on the plane are the best and which are not.

1 row is the only one in business class. The amenities in this row correspond to the class as much as possible: the distance from the seat to the partition declared by the airline is 127 cm. The seats are distributed in pairs.

From the 5th row, the economy class begins. According to information from the airline, the distance between the rows is 74 cm. It should be noted that in these aircraft the seats are arranged according to the 3-4-3 pattern, which is not very convenient for passengers. The disadvantage is associated with the tightness of the cabin.

At places in 5th and 6th row has both its advantages and disadvantages. The disadvantages include the fact that there is a solid partition in front of the passengers, which serves as the boundary between the "business" and "economy" classes. There is a lot of room for the knees, but it will be difficult to straighten the legs. In addition, during the entire flight you will have to look at the wall.

The advantages of such places include the fact that no one will recline the back of the chair on you, which is very important when making long flights and a short distance between the rows.

All chairs in 12, 13 and 14 rows(Besides 12K, 12J and 12H) may have a limited backrest deflection. The inconvenience is delivered by the proximity to the galley.

At 20 rows there are the same advantages and disadvantages as the 5th row. But in front of the passengers there will be not a partition of the salons, but a wall of latrines. The close placement of toilets causes inconvenience associated with the constant walking of passengers, slamming doors and the sounds of a drained tank, etc.

AT 21 rows (D, E, F, G) also uncomfortable due to the proximity to the toilets, but there is enough free legroom.

Places 21H and 21C could be called comfortable, if not for the close location of the restrooms.

In addition to all the above disadvantages, queues can accumulate near passengers, hit with an elbow or step on a foot.

AT 38 and 39 rows seat backs may not recline or have a limitation in this. Also, the proximity to the toilets is uncomfortable.

Some modifications of this airliner have 1-2 rows where there are no windows. In this layout of the cabin, such places are in the middle section (20-39 rows of the cabin). We advise you to clarify this information with the airline representative in advance.

45 row located near the escape hatches, so there is a lot of free legroom. All the same restrooms interfere with a comfortable flight, next to which queues constantly accumulate and you have to endure extraneous noises and smells.

Places 46 rows (D, E, F, G) rest against the wall of the toilet. Of course, no one will lean back on you, but in the conditions of a wide-body layout with two aisles, staring at the wall during a long flight is tiring.

Locations in 53 row (C and H)- the last ones in the 3-4-3 layout, further the fuselage narrows, the back of these seats can be touched by passing passengers or flight attendants with carts.

AT 54-56 rows seats have a 2-4-2 pattern, a little more convenient, especially if you are flying in pairs.

Last 57 and 58 rows most likely have fixed seat backs. Also, places are located near toilets and other technical rooms. Bad places.

Boeing 777-200 - cabin layout and best seats

The fleet of Nordwind Airlines (Nordwind Airlines or "North Wind") includes three liners of the Boeing 777-200 model. The tail numbers of these aircraft are: VP-BJB, VQ-BUD and VP-BJF. The planes are far from new and managed to fly for several airlines. These include companies from Asian countries— China and Vietnam:

  • The VP-BJB made its first flight in January 1998. It was operated by China Southern Airlines between 1998 and 2013.
  • The VQ-BUD made its first flight in September 1998. Operated at different times by Aeroflot - Russian Airlines and Vietnam Airlines. Nord Wind was transferred to use in May 2014.
  • The VP-BJF made its first flight in March 2004. It was operated by China Southern Airlines between 2004 and 2013.

The layout of the cabin of the liner is two-class (business and economy classes). The capacity is 393 people. This is 70 people more than the same Boeing 777-200 from Transaero (323 people in total). There are two explanations for this. Firstly, the Nord Winda plane has a very small business class - only 6 seats, the remaining 387 seats are economy class. Secondly, the arrangement of seats in the ranks of the economy class played a big role. At Nord-Wind, it goes according to the scheme: 3-4-3 (at Transaero, the scheme is 3-3-3). This is a fairly compact option, which is why you have to use narrower seats and narrow the aisles between the rows.

Selection of the best seats in the Boeing 777-200 cabin

The scheme of the aircraft cabin, presented on the official website of Nord Wind:

Let's move on to the analysis of the best and the worst places in this cabin layout.

Row 1. Business class aircraft. There is nothing special here. The distance from the seat to the partition is 127 cm. The seats themselves are about 1.5 times wider than in the economy class. There are comfortable retractable footrests. There are six places in total.

Row 5-6. First row economy class Boeing 777-200. good places for flight, but with some cons. Let's start with the positives. Since the first row, no one will recline the back of the chair on you. The second point is that there are no toilets and a kitchen nearby, which means it is more calm here.

The disadvantages are that the distance to the partition is not very large. The knees fit without problems, but it will not work to fully stretch the legs. Also, the presence of a partition in front of the eyes can slightly spoil the impression of the flight. The seat pitch in the economy row is 74 cm.

Row 12. The diagram shows that the places are located close to the kitchen, which means there is a little more movement. Also, the backs of the chairs can be limited in reclining due to the partition behind the row. Not the best seats in the cabin for a flight.

Row 20. A rather controversial row of seats. On the one hand, there is no row in front, which means that no one will recline the back of the chair on you. On the other hand, there is not much space before the partition (minuses of the 5th row). In addition, there are toilets and a kitchen nearby, and this causes additional inconvenience (passenger traffic, fuss, slamming doors, smells, etc.).

Row 21. Only seats C and H are most convenient here, since there are no chairs in front of them and you can fully stretch your legs. The picture is spoiled only by nearby toilets and constantly wandering passengers.

Rows from 30 to 39. According to passengers, it is more stuffy in these rows of the aircraft, due to the lack of an individual air conditioning system. Cool air begins to flow from the 20th row, so it does not always reach the last rows. Not the best choice for people with poor health.

Row 39. Uncomfortable places. The seatbacks are limited in reclining due to the partition from the toilets and the emergency exit. But the chair will be thrown back on you without problems, even less of this space will remain. There will also be increased passenger traffic throughout the flight.

Row 45. Good places to fly, but with characteristic flaws. An emergency exit at the front gives extra legroom and no one will lean back on you. These are pluses. The downside is the proximity of the toilets. Seats A and K may also lack armrests on the side of the aircraft wall.

Row 46. Armchairs rest against the wall, therefore they have disadvantages of the 6th row. There are also toilets nearby.

Row 53. Seats in diagram C and H. This is where the narrowing of the fuselage of the aircraft begins, so the extreme seats to the aisle are subject to constant contact with passing passengers and cabin crew carts.

Row 54-56. The extreme seats have only two seats, so they are convenient for flying in pairs.

Row 57-58. One of the most uncomfortable places to fly. The row is characterized by all the shortcomings inherent in the 38th and 39th rows. Namely: there is no possibility to recline the back of the chair, high noise and smells from the toilets, constant fuss and queues.

The Boeing 777 200 is a new generation airliner that allows you to make long flights in comfort. After reading the article, you will learn how the salon looks like from the inside and how to choose the best seats when buying a ticket.

Liner 777 200 is part of the fleet of the North Wind company, founded in 2008. Nordwind organizes charter flights, is licensed for private and cargo flights.

The company's fleet consists of 21 aircraft, of which 3 are Boeing 777-200ER (ER - literally Extended Range, which means increased flight range). The model entered active operation in 1995, and the first flight was made in 1994.

Boeings in the Nordwind fleet have tail numbers: VP-BJF, VP-BJB, VQ-BUD.

  1. VP-BJF. The youngest of the companions. Until the age of 13, he flew in a Chinese airline, after which he passed into the possession of NordWind;
  2. VP-BJB. He began his flight experience in 1998 also in the fleet of Chinese Airlines, where he stayed until 2013, then he was acquired by the current company;
  3. VQ-BUD. Created in 1998, it was owned by several air carriers, including Aeroflot. North Wind bought out Boeing in 2014.

Advantages of the aircraft 777-200

The north wind seeks to optimize the composition of the park, which makes it possible to improve quality and create comfortable conditions.

Boeing 777 200 is a wide-body passenger aircraft. The aircraft scheme includes 393 passenger seats, which are divided into 2 classes: economy and business. It is able to serve flights up to 18 hours without transfers.

Interesting fact: in 2003, Boeing set a crash record for flying on one engine for almost 3 hours with passengers on board.

Features and capabilities of the court:

The fly-by-wire control system allows you to automatically avoid potentially dangerous maneuvers during the flight and ensures that the actions of the pilots do not exceed the permissible limits. If necessary, the pilot can disable the system.

The Boeing 777 200er has the largest tires and landing gear of any commercial airliner.

The interior is made in curved lines. There are oversized luggage racks. Prior to the creation of the 787 airliner, the Boeing was considered the aircraft with the largest windows. There are dedicated crew rest areas located in the front compartment of the aircraft. They include:

  1. 2-3 beds;
  2. Two armchairs;
  3. Washbasin;
  4. TV set.

Passenger compartment configuration 777-200 Nordwind

There are 3 kitchen spaces and utility rooms located at the beginning, middle and end. Toilet rooms are also allocated at the beginning and end of the aircraft. In the booths, the seats are made with a hydraulic hinge, which allows you to gently lower the toilet lid. There are two bathrooms, which are often located in front and behind next to the toilet rooms.

The layout allows employees to change the configuration of kitchens, toilets and seats, depending on the needs of a particular flight.

Salons are distinguished by the type of layout:

  1. Economy class for 440 seats;
  2. Economy class and business 396 seats;
  3. Economy, first, business 306 seats.

Consider the basic modification of the board with two classes.

Business Class

Occupies the front of the aircraft. No more than 10 places are assigned to this category. Offers passengers a configuration of 4 seats in a row. They are arranged by the number of seats 2-2-2, sometimes 2-3-2. For business class, Nord Wind claims a distance of 127 cm from the seat to the bulkhead.

Peculiarities:

  • armchairs one and a half times wider than the economy category, can be transformed into a bed;
  • folding backrests extend more than in the economy;
  • comfortable armrests;
  • restaurant menu;
  • There are retractable footrests.

Economy class

Starts from the 5th row. The distance between the backs of the seats is 74 cm. There are no footrests, but the chairs are quite comfortable, with armrests. They are made from ergonomic materials. The backrests recline slightly due to lack of space. There is a folding table, seat belts, earplugs and a pocket for things.

Economy class occupies 90% of the passenger cabin. The breakdown of the seats is as follows: 3 on the left, 4 in the center, 3 on the right. Most customers find this location uncomfortable due to the narrow aisles that passengers constantly run to the toilet.

During the flight, you can watch movies and drink cocktails. The electronic panel allows you to track the location of the aircraft in transit.

Choosing the best place

The first rows of economy class (5-6) have an undeniable advantage in that there are no passengers who could recline the seat back on you. These places in Boeing are considered good for flights and the most convenient.

Information for mothers: in these places you can put a cradle with a baby in front of you.

The disadvantages of the row are the wall in front of the face, behind which the business class is located.

This is a calm space, as toilets, bathrooms and kitchens are located further down the cabin. Another disadvantage is not to fully stretch your legs in front of you because of the partition.

The 20th row is similar to the 5th and 6th, but instead of the business class, there is a toilet partition in front, which means passengers are regularly disturbed. This also includes places from row 21 and places G, F, D, E.

The advantage of row 45 is the ability to stretch your legs and straighten your knees due to the location of emergency hatches.

For traveling couples, seats in the last row of the aircraft can become comfortable due to the narrowing of the fuselage. Instead of 3 seats, there are 2. The disadvantage is the likelihood of hitting a passenger with a cart carried by a flight attendant, as well as a queue of people standing in the restroom.

Bad places: how not to make a mistake

38 and 39 rows are one of the most uncomfortable. The chairs do not recline, in some cases there are restrictions on the level of inclination. Another disadvantage is the closeness of the restroom.

53C and 54H are considered uncomfortable places due to the fact that passing passengers can easily hit you with their elbows. In addition, stewardesses with trolleys provide inconvenience during the flight.

Row 57.58: located at the tail of the salon. Inconvenient close location of on-board kitchens, utility rooms and other technical spaces. They have restrictions in reclining the backrests or are completely blocked.

Experienced travelers do not recommend choosing rows 13,14,12. Due to restrictions on the deviation of the backrest and the presence of a kitchen in the immediate vicinity.

From about the 20th to the 39th row, in some places there may be no portholes. This is a big minus for some travelers. For accurate information about the availability of a window, it is better to consult a company representative before buying a ticket.

Before making a purchase, pay attention to the nuances:

  1. Study the interior scheme and then make a purchase decision;
  2. Do not take seats at the tail of the aircraft, except for rows 40-41, which are suitable for traveling in pairs;
  3. Avoid places near restrooms due to unnecessary noise and queues;
  4. Buy your tickets in advance so you can choose the best seat. The lower price is an added bonus.

Boeing 777-200 "Nord Wind": interior layout

The Boeing 777 is a family wide-body airliners designed to carry passengers over long distances. Known in the aviation community as the "Boeing Three Sevens". The development of the aircraft began in the 90s of the XX century, the first flight was already made in 1994, and serial operation since 1995.

The peculiarity of the Boeing 777 aircraft is a full-fledged development outside of paper drawings: the airliner was completely developed on a computer in the most modern program at that time.

The Boeing 777 family of airliners can accommodate an average of 400 passengers, depending on the configuration presented, with a flight range of 9,000 to 17,000 kilometers. The maximum set record was 21 thousand kilometers. The Boeing 777 is by far the world's largest twin-engine airliner with the most powerful jet engines in aviation history and with 6-wheel landing gear.

Boeing 777-200

The 200th modification of the Boeing 777 is the first to be put into serial use. It was this aircraft that made an experimental flight with the Pratt and Whitney engine in 1994, then modifications with other jet engines were tested for further use in 1995. The liner can accommodate from 305 to 440 passengers, depending on the layout of the cabin.

When designing the aircraft, the manufacturer paid Special attention the wishes of the passengers. The Boeing 777-200 aircraft has such advantages as a soft takeoff and landing process, the almost complete absence of engine noise, business class seats with increased comfort and ergonomics (wide shelves to accommodate hand luggage). Since the aircraft is designed for fairly long flights, many airlines build modern multimedia systems into the seat backs for entertainment during the flight.

Boeing 777-200ER: features and benefits

How else is the plane different? The Boeing 777-200ER is also a wide-body long-haul airliner, which is a modification of the 777-200 with a higher take-off weight and flight length.

The Boeing 777-200ER aircraft is capable of accommodating from 314 to 440 passengers and flying over a distance of up to 14,000 kilometers. Main purpose this aircraft are tedious transatlantic journeys, taking an average of 14 hours.

The first flight of the modification took place in 1996, commercial operation began in early 1997. To this day, the main competitor is the A330-300 produced by Airbus with lighter weight, as well as more modern systems for pilots.

Nevertheless, more than eight hundred aircraft of the 777-300ER version were sold in total. This makes this model the most demanded in the 777 family by both foreign and Russian air carriers. For example, the company "Northern Wind".

The scheme of the cabin "Boeing 777-200" "Nord Wind"

Nordwind Airlines ("Nord Wind" or "Northern Wind") was registered in May 2008 as an international passenger and cargo charter company. Route network This company covers almost the whole world, in particular, popular resorts.

The company's fleet consists of 21 aircraft, three of which are Boeing 777-200 ER modifications: VP-BJF, VP-BJH, VQ-BUD. The VP-BJF modification first took to the air in 1998, the VP-BJH and VP-BJF airliners in 2004. All aircraft were purchased by Nord Wind from Asian airlines such as Singapore Airlines, Vietnam Airlines and China Airways, which used 777-200ERs to fly through Pacific Ocean and also to Europe.

The best places for the Boeing 727-200 Nord Wind aircraft

Let's stop on accommodation in the plane. The layout of the cabin "Boeing 777-200" ("Nord Wind") aircraft modification VP-BJH and VP-BJF is as follows: three-four-three, some rows: two-four-two, and in business class - on two seats in each row. A significant difference is that VP-BJH has only 30 business class seats, while the other has only 6. The total number of seats according to the Boeing 777-200 (Nord Wind) cabin scheme is 285 and 393 seats, respectively. This confirms the fact that the Boeing 777-200 can be used for flights over long distances or on a route with a decent passenger flow.

The VQ-BUD, which was used for flights from Vietnam to Australia, the United States, as well as European countries, has a total of 6 business class seats and 387 economy class. This makes the Boeing 777-200 (Nord Wind) cabin layout similar to the younger VP-BJF aircraft, both in terms of the location of the seats in the cabin and the intended purpose. The seating arrangement in the business class is similar to that of its counterparts, however, the economy class is located in a three-four-three pattern, which is one of the worst cabin configurations of the Boeing 727-200 aircraft of the Nord Wind airline due to the fact that passengers can be tight enough.

The best aircraft positions in all presented layouts are 5-6, 20-21, 45-46 for VP-BJF; 5-6, 12, 14 (A, C, H, K), 15 (C, H), 33-34 for VQ-BUD; 31.46 for VP-BJH - due to a sufficient amount of legroom in a long flight, but with a significant disadvantage - possible noise and smell from the toilet. All other places are limited in space, without a reclining back, in the aisle or next to the kitchen.

Results

Summing up the advantages and disadvantages of the Boeing 777-200, it is worth coming to the conclusion that the aircraft is quite flexible both to the requirements of the client and to the needs of airlines of any destination - charter or regular.

It should be noted that many companies take these liners for the needs of their market, but some Russian companies buy them out after they have been used in other countries. This is evidenced by the layout of the Boeing 777-200 Nord Wind cabin, where the step of the economy class seats is within 74 centimeters, and the backrest angle is much less than in similar modifications of other airlines operating on a regular basis.

However, despite the disadvantages, the 777-200 remains the most attractive of the Boeing lineup for long flights, combined with a large capacity, the ability to fly autonomously up to 2 hours with the engine turned off, as well as convenience for passengers of all classes.

Cabin layout and best places Boeing 777-200 Nordwind

Nordwind Airlines or Nordwind is popular with Russian passengers. The carrier offers flights at affordable prices throughout the country and abroad. The company's fleet has aircraft of many brands, but the most popular is the Boeing 777-200 (only three aircraft).

Boeing 777-200 ER

Boeing appeared in 1994. Then they were noticed by many world airlines and purchased for their fleet. Because of the good specifications aircraft were used for flights of medium and long distances. Specifications:

  • Length - 64 m.
  • Wingspan - 60 m.
  • Capacity - up to 400 people.
  • Maximum speed - 965 km / h.
  • The maximum flight range is up to 15,000 km.

airline planes

Nordwind Airlines has three Boeing aircraft with tail numbers - VP-BJB, VQ-BUD and VP-BJF. Each aircraft has already served more than once to other companies, even Asian ones.

  • VP-BJB. He started working in 1998 in the fleet of China Southern Airlines, where he stayed until 2013, and then joined Nord Wind.
  • VQ-BUD. He also began flying in 1998, changed several airlines, including Aeroflot and Vietnam Airlines. He joined the company "Northern Wind" in 2014.
  • VP-BJF. A little younger than their counterparts. In 2004, he joined China Southern Airlines, where he flew until 2013, and then moved to the current airline.

Each aircraft is supposed to use two classes - business and economy. By the way, the capacity of the Boeing exceeds 380 people, and sometimes reaches 400.

Salon scheme

Although there are two classes of service, no more than 10 seats are most often allocated for business class. In economy class, the seating arrangement most often follows the 3-4-3 layout, which narrows the aisles. In general, the cabin of the aircraft looks like this:

In the tail of the aircraft, sometimes the seats are placed according to the “2-4-2” pattern, which means that the passage becomes wider. The plane has 4 exits, this factor should be taken into account when choosing the best seat in the cabin.

The business class seats are very comfortable, with plenty of legroom, and the backrests recline to a wide angle. Economy class seats have armrests, the backs recline in all rows, but not much in some. On the floor is a carpet of dark colors. Each chair has a reclining table, seat belts, a pocket for personal items. The economy seats in the Boeing 777-200 Nord Wind look something like this:

The best seats on the plane

Best Places:

  • First row These are business class seats. Here the seats are arranged in pairs, the distance between the seats is increased. The backrests can recline more and there is extra leg room. The chairs themselves are more comfortable than in the other class. They look like in the photo:

  • Fifth row. It is with him that the economy class begins. It is interesting that in this row only the central seats from D to G are located. There are conveniences here: there will be a partition in front of you, not chairs, which means that the seats will not recline on you. But, on the other hand, because of the partition it will not be possible to spread your legs, and you will also have to look at the wall, because there are not even windows nearby.
  • Sixth row. This is the first row for the economy class, where all the seats from A to K appear. But the side seats are convenient here - A, B, C, H, J and K. Legroom has been increased in these places, the partition will not embarrass you. In addition, dinner will be served to you first, you won't have to wait long.
  • 20 and 21 rows. A bit like the 5th and 6th rows, but they are not located behind the business class, but behind the toilet. There's a little more space for legs, but proximity to the restrooms may seem like a big drawback to someone, because people will often walk. And there is also a buffet nearby, from where the smells of food can be heard, but for some this may be a plus.
  • 45 and 46 rows. The same as the previous ones. There will be a wall in front of you, a toilet room is located nearby - all these, of course, are disadvantages, but one of the advantages is legroom, the absence of neighbors in front.

In general, all seats have their advantages and disadvantages, so there are almost no better places without any minuses in the Boeing 777-200. Choose places that seem convenient for you. Perhaps a toilet located close to you is a plus for someone. In addition, some parts of the cabin copy each other. Some rows have similar characteristics, so choose a seat also because of the location in the aircraft. On the wings less motion sickness, and in the tail section great view. Choose everything according to your taste.

good places

The following places are relatively good:

  • 12 row, places from A to H. This is the last row before the kitchen, which means you may be allowed to recline a little more. Row 14 has similar properties. But these places are in front of the emergency exit and the toilet, so people will often pass by.
  • 46 row, places D - G. The row is located after the toilet, there is a little more legroom, but at the same time the eyes will rest against the wall.
  • 53 row, places C and H. This is the last row where the seats are in threes, namely these seats can recline more, but at the same time flight attendants or passengers can hurt you, since the aisle between the seats remains narrow.
  • 55 and 56 row. The seats are arranged according to the “2-4-2” scheme, the outer seats A, C, H and K are comfortable. These seats are especially good if you are traveling together. The passage here is slightly increased.

These places also have their advantages and disadvantages, sitting here is good, but there may be some inconvenience.

Worst Places

But the places that you still should not choose under any circumstances:

  • 30-39 rows. According to passengers, air conditioners do not always work here, which means it is stuffy. Not the most the best way for older passengers.
  • 38 and 39 rows. Seats in the last row should not be chosen. Behind them is the wall of the toilet room, which means that the backs will not recline completely. In addition, due to the proximity to the restroom, people will crowd around you, and food and drinks will be served to you almost last.
  • 57 and 58 rows. Although the side seats in these rows are arranged in pairs, there are still disadvantages. They are similar to 38 and 39 side by side, there is a wall behind, the backs recline weakly, people pass by often, noise will be created. In addition, these are the very last rows on the plane, if the exits do not open at the back, then you will be the last to leave.

You can survive the flight in any place, but if the choice of seat is important for you, then you should not choose these places.

Conclusion

North Wind Airlines is proud of its Boeing 777-200s, because they are excellent passenger carriers for medium and long distances. Comfort and convenience will accompany you throughout the flight, but try to choose the best seats that will be convenient for you. Choose the correct part of the aircraft. Remember, the central seats are not the most convenient, so if you do not have time to choose a seat on the edge, then you will most likely get a seat in the center row. Although such a flight is easy to survive, the main thing is to tune in to the beautiful and think about the upcoming vacation.

The Nord Wind company will take you to your dream, because it has been flying for more than 9 years and during this time has earned the love of its passengers.

Start of operation - 1995, the aircraft belongs to the long-range wide-body twin-engine monoplanes. The Boeing 777-200ER is an improved modification of the B772. It has an increased maximum allowable takeoff weight - up to 247,200 kg, a maximum flight range - up to 14,000 km. Boeing 777 200ER cabin design: comfortable luggage racks, cabin width - 5.87 m, portholes - 380 x 250 mm.

The aircraft was designed for transatlantic flights, according to general characteristics it is comfortable and quiet for long flights.

Boeing 777-200ER by Nord Wind

All three aircraft of this modification were previously operated in other countries, including Asian companies. Modifications VP-BJB and VQ-BUD first took to the air in 1998, and the VP-BJF liner in 2004.

  1. Boeing 777-200ER (Nord Wind) cabin layout for VP-BJB and VQ-BUD aircraft: economy class seats - three, four, three; 21, 39, 54, 55, 56, 57 rows - two, four, two; in business, two, two, two. Seats in economy class are narrower, made of lightweight material.
  2. Boeing 777-200ER (Nord Wind) cabin layout of VP-BJF aircraft: accommodation of economy class seats - three, three, three; 47, 58, 59 rows - two, three, two; in business, two, two, two.

The seat spacing is up to 74 cm, and the backrest angle is more limited than in similar modifications of airlines engaged only in regular flights.

Evaluation of the best and worst places in the first and second salons of VP-BJB and VQ-BUD

In the Boeing 777-200ER cabin, the best seats that do not have significant disadvantages are located in the business class cabin. A comfortable flight is ensured by: a comfortable footrest, a good backrest, a chair step of a little more than a meter, a large table for eating and an increased seat width (one and a half times wider than in the budget class).

Economy class starts in rows numbered 5 and 6. Pros: no front-seated passengers (which means that no one will lower their seat back in front), the ability to hang a cradle for a child during level flight (therefore, such seats are often assigned to passengers with children in their arms ) and the lack of restrooms and kitchens nearby, so the flight will be more relaxed here. The disadvantages include a small distance to the partition separating the two classes, that is, the passenger will not be able to stretch his legs forward, it is forbidden to keep hand luggage in his legs during takeoff and landing, since there is no holding mechanism in case of sudden braking of the aircraft.

The advantages of rows 7 to 11 are that the passenger can stretch his legs under the seat in front, place his hand luggage there (if necessary).

Rows 12 and 14 complete the first economy class cabin and are considered uncomfortable, as the kitchen is located nearby, the noise and movement in which will interfere with rest. The backs of the seats are fixed, as there is a partition and an emergency exit at the back.

From the 20th row, the second economy class salon begins. The advantage is the absence of forward-sitting passengers. There are much more disadvantages here: there is no way to stretch your legs, there is a kitchen and toilets nearby, constant fuss among the crew and passengers will create significant inconvenience. Smells from the toilet are also an unpleasant addition to comfort. In addition, queues for the toilet will line up exactly near the extreme places of this row.

The convenience of row 21 is only in places C and H, because there is no chair in front of them and you can stretch your legs completely, but passengers who have gone to the toilet or just walk around the cabin to stretch their legs will interfere.

Due to the absence of individual air conditioners in the luggage racks above the seats, the operation of the general air conditioning and air circulation system of this modification, the temperature in the cabin between rows 30 and 39 is higher than the standard cabin. And seats in row 39 are considered absolutely uncomfortable because of the toilet wall and emergency exits behind the back of the seats, so they are always fixed in an upright position.

Evaluation of the best and worst places in the third salon VP-BJB and VQ-BUD

The third salon opens the 45th row. Due to the presence of an emergency exit in front, it is possible to stretch your legs, and during the flight, no one will tilt the back of the seat in your direction. However, the close location of the toilets (unpleasant smells and queues of people who can stand at the emergency exits) turns such a place into a problematic one.

In the 46th row, the seats located in the middle of the cabin look at the toilet wall. Therefore, the disadvantages are unpleasant odors and the inability to stretch your legs.

Seats C and H in the 53rd row have more inconvenience from contact with passengers going to the toilet, crew and cart during service, since the fuselage narrows in this place.

Rows 54, 55, 56 are comfortable and consist of two seats on the sides of the cab, respectively, there is more peace.

There are restrooms and a kitchen near 57 and 58, so there is no way to recline the seat, and the constant noise and bustle in the toilet lines will spoil the flight.

In the tail section of the aircraft, turbulence is always stronger during turbulence than in the nose, for some this is discomfort.

Characteristics of the layout of the board VP-BJF

The layout of the cabin of the Boeing 777-200ER (Nord Wind) aircraft with tail number VP-BJF differs from the previous ones. The business class cabin consists of 24 seats (from row 11 to 16). in economy class increased comfort in the step of the chairs, so you can lower the backrest lower. The economy class consists of only two cabins and starts with numbering 31. Passengers who do not have front-seated neighbors during the flight are located in rows 31 and 48, but there are more distances for outstretched legs. The backs of the seats, fixed in a vertical position, are in rows 47 and 59. In rows 47 and 48, the presence of toilets is considered a minus for rest, and for row 59, noise from the kitchen in the tail section of the aircraft.

The Russian airline North Wind was established in 2008 and has licenses to carry out passenger and freight traffic, organizes charter flights around the world. The carrier is a subsidiary of the tour operator Pegas-Touristik. The base airport in Moscow is Sheremetyevo, in Siberia? Tolmachevo (Novosibirsk) and Emelyanovo (Krasnoyarsk). The company leases its aircraft to several international airlines.

The North Wind fleet consists of 32 aircraft: eight Boeing 757-200ERs, eight Boeing 767-300ERs, eight Airbus A321-200s, four Boeing 737-800s, three Boeing 777-200ERs and one Airbus A320-232. The airline also signed a contract for the purchase of three aircraft from Irkut Corporation.

Service classes

North Wind Airlines offers its passengers two service options:

  • Economic class. Aircraft cabins are equipped with soft ergonomic seats, an atmosphere of coziness and comfort is created around. During the flight, a varied menu is offered and a large selection of entertaining films can be watched while enjoying a fruit cocktail. Throughout the journey, you can observe the location of the aircraft on a special screen. For passengers who wish to fly in silence, earplugs are provided in the seat pocket.
  • Business Class. Restaurant cuisine and a wide range of entertainment are provided. The menu is compiled by our chefs. Both non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks can be consumed. If desired, the chair can be transformed into a bed and sleep. Upon arrival at your destination, the flight attendant will announce the end of the flight.

Baggage transportation

A business class passenger has the right to carry several pieces of baggage with a total weight of up to 40 kg, including hand luggage. In this case, the weight of one unit should not exceed 32 kg. Dimensions in height, width and thickness must be no more than 160 cm. An economy class passenger can carry up to 20 kg of baggage.

The weight of hand luggage for both classes must not exceed 5 kg. Diplomats, handbags, printed publications, baby food, umbrellas, outerwear, video equipment, portable PCs, baby cradles, wheelchairs, crutches.

Family travel service

"Family travel" is suitable for passengers who fly with young children. For a child under 1 year old, a stationary baby cot is provided. At the request of the client (24 hours before departure), it is possible to prepare a special children's menu. Children under 2 years of age are not provided with a separate seat. Passengers with children are not accommodated near emergency exits and protective equipment. It is also possible to transport pregnant women with this class, but only after the written permission of her attending physician and no later than four weeks before the expected date of delivery.

How to fly and what - questions that everyone decides for himself. But still, how to choose from the whole variety of aircraft offered by carriers and introduce potential passengers air transportation Let's try to understand this brief description.

Specifically, we will describe one aircraft, this is the Boeing 777-200.

Aircraft history

The aircraft belongs to the class of long-haul aircraft. From the history of the development of the aircraft, it is known that it was created without traditional paper drawings, and was fully designed in the mid-90s. based on computer graphics (three-dimensional model).

The first flight of the Boeing 777-200 took place in 1994.

There are several modifications of this aircraft:

  • passenger 777-200ER;
  • passenger 777-200LR;
  • 777-200 Freighter - cargo.

The Boeing 777-200LR aircraft are the longest, and moreover, non-stop passenger flights in the world.

The continuation of the line of these aircraft is the Boeing 777-300 with an extended fuselage and greater passenger capacity.

flight data

Brief flight characteristics of the two modifications of the aircraft can be seen on a small table:

Aircraft layout and seating

In terms of passenger capacity today, the leaders are aircraft of the Boeing 777-200 family. The layout of the aircraft cabin has many configurations with different passenger capacities from 306 to 550. non-stop flight(from 9.1 thousand km to 17.5 thousand km.), "Boeing" also has no equal.

On long-distance flights, Transaero Airlines uses the aircraft in two configurations - 306 and 323 passengers, respectively, the cabin is divided into 4 or 3 classes.

On the liners of the Transaero company, the division into classes is divided into categories:

  1. Imperial class.
  2. Premium (as a subspecies of business class).
  3. Business Class.
  4. Economic class.
  5. Tourist class (as a subspecies of economic class).

Imperial class

Seats for first-class passengers on a Boeing 777-200 aircraft, the cabin diagram shows how the most forward in the cabin. They differ from other passenger seats in increased comfort. You can evaluate the interior of this class in the photo:

Business Class

Business class seats in Boeing 777-200 - superior comfort. But if you pay attention to the seats located in 5 row C,D,E, you may get the impression that they do not recline. But it's not.

Economy class

Passenger seats in the 10th row are considered to be uncomfortable. The reason for this is the partition located in front of them. Add additional inconvenience and nearby toilets. And the queue for the toilet next to the passenger, of course, does not cheer you up in flight.

tourist class

There are places in the tourist salon that are in front of emergency exit. This is the 30th row A, B, H, K.

There are pros and cons here.

So, for example, free legroom is a convenience. This is due to the fact that these places are located close to the emergency exit. The fact that on long-haul flights you can freely stretch your stiff legs is important for passengers.

But the fact that passenger seats are located next to the toilets can be a burden when flying.

Also near the toilets there are places in the 30th row C, D, E, F, G.

The most recent seats are the least convenient for long-haul flights. This is due to the fact that they are located in the very tail, moreover, the backs do not recline, this is prevented by a partition behind the seats. Behind the partition are also toilets.

But here, too, there are "pluses". According to statistics, in a plane crash, these are the places that have a better chance of survival.

How to make a long flight easier

Place

Choosing a seat on a long flight is of great importance. And the layout of the liner will be very helpful for the Boeing 777-200 passenger in this. Due to the fact that transcontinental flights are carried out, it would be better if the seats are near the aisle. With a 12-hour flight, a trip to the toilet cannot be avoided.

But there are aircraft with a 2-4-2 seat configuration. And in this case, the chances that passengers from central places will climb over you are much higher.

Motion

With such long flights, which are carried out by the Boeing 777-200, ensuring normal blood flow in the limbs is of great importance. Even flight attendants show passengers from time to time the minimum exercise they should do in flight when there is a safety demonstration.

When visiting the restroom, you can stretch a little and walk in the tail of the aircraft for several minutes, or, if the conductors allow, walk around the cabin a couple of times.

Nutrition

Prepare for a long flight. To do this, it is best to limit yourself to fatty foods before the flight, as they are heavy on the stomach. It is better to switch to a light meal in advance. Otherwise, everyone can imagine the situation that they will have to sit with a "stone" in the stomach, and even in a confined space, and limited in movement.

So experts advise, before a passenger gets into the Boeing 777-200 cabin of Transaero, switch to a sparing diet or refuse to eat on board at all during the flight.

Lunch time on board the aircraft also requires attention from the passenger. Since the portion sizes are quite moderate, it is natural that most passengers will queue for the restroom. And if you have to wait a very long time, then the uncomfortable sensations will only intensify.

But when the flight attendants brought tea and coffee, then the aisles are free until such time as they began to collect the dishes. But here it is worth noting that this can cause inconvenience to other passengers, since the dishes have not yet been removed and there is a possibility that they can be turned over and overturned.

Transportation today

The Federal Air Transport Agency notes in its statistics that last year 56.5 million passengers were transported by the five largest Russian air carriers. Boeing 777-200 occupied a large share in these transportations. Transaero actively used these aircraft.

According to statistics, this airline, which stopped flying in the fall of 2015, was the largest air carrier in Russia.

Many experts predicted a decline in air travel amid the international economic crisis. But Rosaviatsiya experts note that if the traffic has not increased, then it has remained at least at the same level.

When planning to fly to the islands for vacation or on business abroad, an inexperienced traveler has a question: how to fly safely and comfortably, how to choose the best places. Intercontinental transportation of passengers is carried out by a comfortable Boeing 777 airliner (made in the USA) with a three-row seating arrangement. The capacity of the aircraft is from 300 to 550 people. The layout of the Boeing 777 200 cabin will help you choose comfortable spot of the corresponding class, so that the flight delivers maximum comfort.

The flight range of the liner is 17,000 kilometers. Boeing 200 and 300 modifications have been operated by world airlines since 1994, during which time it has gained a reputation as the safest aircraft.

The largest air carriers in Russia are the companies:

  • Transaero;
  • Aeroflot;
  • Nord Wind (North wind);
  • Orenair (Orenburg Airlines);
  • S7 (Siberia);
  • Ural Airlines other.

The layout of the cabin aircraft Boeing-777 of Transaero Airlines

On the example of Transaero aircraft, the layout of the seats in the Boeing cabin is shown in the photo. To improve conditions, the carrier has upgraded the cabin, so the capacity of the liner is 323 people. The distance between the rows has been increased, seats have been added. The arrangement of seats on various Transaero ships is different: 2-5-2 or 3-3-3 for economy, tourist, 2-3-2 for business class (groups of two and three seats are staggered).

On Transaero flights, travelers will be provided with:

  • warm blankets, pillows;
  • varied food, drinks;
  • alcohol;
  • travel kits.

The scheme of the cabin of the Boeing-777 airline Nord Wind

There are two sectors with different levels of convenience on Nord Wind aircraft: business, economy. Nord Wind for high class comfort is distinguished only by the first row (for 6-7 people). There are 10 seats in one economy class line - the order is 3-4-3 (see photo). The interior spaces of Nord Wind aircraft are cramped compared to other carriers (see photo). But for one flight, the liner carries more passengers - the capacity is 393 people.

Aeroflot Airlines uses an improved modification. The space of the Boeing 777 300 aircraft (see photo) is divided into 4 sectors:

  • business - 1-5 rows with placement 2-2-2, located at an angle of 45 degrees;
  • comfort - arrangement order 2-4-2, 11-16 row;
  • space plus - rows 24-37, arrangement 3-4-3;
  • economy - rows 38-51 (up to 46 p. - order 3-4-3, from 47 p. grouping is used
  • 2-4-2).

The scheme of the cabin of the aircraft Boeing-777 Aeroflot airlines

  • business level menu;
  • individual lamps;
  • folding table;
  • step;
  • video monitor.

Orenburg Airlines offers the following classes:

  • Business - 14 places;
  • Premium - 34 seats;
  • Economy - 316 seats.

How to comfortably sit in the cabin

The best seats are undoubtedly at the front of the ship, where business and first (comfort) class are located. Some aircraft have an additional imperial level for elite passengers (Transaero). The business level has places of increased comfort. But there are nuances here too. The closeness of the toilets, the periodically emerging queue to them, can cause discomfort to passengers sitting nearby. This applies to companies that allocate more than 20 seats for the business level (Aeroflot). In this sector, the seats are located at a considerable distance from each other (125-150 cm), which allows passengers to relax during a long flight and stretch their legs.

In the middle of the liner are seats for economy class passengers. Here, the distance between the chairs is less, so a tall person will be uncomfortable.

Proximity to the kitchen, toilets of the first and last rows can cause discomfort. You should not choose chairs near the aisle, it is likely that those passing by will touch your hand or step on your foot.

In the passenger seats at the tail of the aircraft, the sound of running engines is perceptibly audible. The distance between the seats is only 20-25 cm. In addition, rear turbulence feels harsher.

The best seats on a Boeing 777, regardless of level, are those in the middle. You should also choose a liner with no more than 3 seats in a row in one line. For example, the landing option is 3-3-3. With the arrangement of seats 2-5-2 places, it is better to choose those that are located near the hull of the vessel.

The sector breakdown of seats, like the rest of the systems, is designed using computer simulations, but carriers have the right to upgrade the seating arrangement, remove or add seats. It directly depends on the airlines how comfortable the flight will be for the passenger.

The Russian airline NordWind ("North Wind") will lease two more Boeing 777 wide-body aircraft. This is a modification of the Boeing 777-300ER. By ordering these machines, the carrier has become a new client of the Dubai leasing company DAE Capital (a division of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise), according to the owner of the aircraft. The aircraft's previous operator was Taiwanese carrier EVA Airways.

As a representative of the carrier told the site, "in order to implement the feeder strategy for 200 directions of autumn-winter navigation, NordWind continues to expand its own fleet of wide-body aircraft and announces the preparation for operation of two Boeing 777-300 aircraft." The first aircraft will arrive at the carrier's base airport Sheremetyevo (Moscow) on August 31. In the first week of September, after customs procedures, it will be put into operation on routes from Moscow. The airline will take the second flight within the next week.

Boeing 777-300ER aircraft manufactured in 2005 will receive tail numbers VP-BJL and VP-BJO. They will be the first aircraft in the NordWind fleet with a three-class layout (312 seats in total: 38 in business class, 63 in premium economy class and 211 in economy class).

The former operator of both Boeing 777-300ER NordWind is the Taiwanese airline EVA Airways

The NordWind fleet already has four Boeing 777s of a different modification - the Boeing 777-200 (equipped with 393 seats in two classes). With the receipt of two machines, the airline's fleet will have 22 aircraft. In addition to the Boeing 777, we are talking about the wide-body Airbus A330-200, as well as the narrow-body and Boeing 737-800. By the end of 2017, four more aircraft are expected to arrive.

In January-July, NordWind's passenger traffic increased by 85.4% to 1.598 million people. At the same time, the seat occupancy rate decreased by 2.9 percentage points, to 86.9%.
