Intestinal infection on the Black Sea reviews. In the infection of the Black Sea with Escherichia coli found a bureaucratic trace

31.08.2016 11:03

The closure of Turkey and Egypt led to an increase in the flow Russian tourists on the Black Sea coast Caucasus. Wastewater treatment plants can not cope with the load. As a result, an outbreak of intestinal infection in Krasnodar Territory. Tourists complain that the sea is polluted with sewage and algae, and talk about overcrowded hospitals. Local authorities do not recognize the problem: official comments say that there are no mass cases of diseases.

In the meantime, the collection of signatures began on the Internet for a petition in which the Russians ask President Vladimir Putin to save Russian resort from ecological disaster.

In the public domain, you can find hundreds of similar messages about how tourists, having swum in the sea, suffered from diarrhea and vomiting, waited for an ambulance for hours, and spent most of their vacation in the hospital. Basically, parents of preschool children complained about the spoiled vacation.

Perhaps the most replicated in social networks is the post of Angela Alekseenko from Petrozavodsk. She is indignant that for the sake of profit, the authorities, doctors and the media are hushing up information about the epidemic on the Black Sea coast. She was vacationing in Sochi with her two-year-old son. After a trip to the sea, he had a fever, diarrhea and vomiting began. The baby, along with his mother, was taken by ambulance to the emergency room of the infectious diseases hospital, where they had to wait three hours to see a doctor in the company of other vacationers with similar problems.

“A bunch of parents, all the kids are in their arms, they are constantly vomiting, they are exhausted and cannot stand on their feet. Poor doctors, who do not have time to do anything, try to be kind, understanding. But tired as hell. And today is the fourth day in the hospital, periodically I roar, in complete shock, why is everyone silent, ”writes Angela Alekseenko.

According to Alekseenko, 60 children are admitted to the hospital every day with one diagnosis - intestinal infection.

“It turns out that you can’t go out to the sea, it’s dirty, children get poisoned, their small, fragile body fails! And everyone is silent! Hospitals are overcrowded, people are lying in the corridors, I see this nightmare myself. Dirty, stuffy, there is no refrigerator or microwave in the whole hospital, ”the woman is indignant. The ambulance doctors told her that this situation had been happening since the beginning of summer. “Why are you silent? “Then you won’t come to us,” they answer. This is fine? All summer such nonsense, poor children are poisoned, someone vomits blood, and everyone sneezes, because money!” Alekseenko is outraged. Her post was reprinted by the media and bloggers, but later, for unknown reasons, it was removed from Facebook. Znak.com tried to contact Angela Alekseenko through the social network, but at the time of preparation of the material, she did not respond to a personal message.

Tourists faced similar problems throughout the summer in other resort towns. Krasnodar Territory. Sverdlovsk resident Denis Stepanchenko, who was vacationing with his family in the village of Vityazevo near Anapa, told Znak.com that the family spent 10 out of 14 days of vacation in the room due to an intestinal infection that struck the children.

The locals think main reason diseases, dirty sea water, in which, at the end of summer, due to the heat, algae bloom and bacteria multiply. In addition, the old-timers point to the lack of a centralized sewage system.

More than 3.3 million tourists rested in Sochi from January to July 2016, according to an official statement on the website of the municipality. The beaches are 100% loaded. At the same time, the administration's health department refused to tell Znak.com over the phone how many people were hospitalized with intestinal infections this season. Znak.com sent an official request to the press service of the city administration, but there is no answer yet.

Official reports from the Sochi administration say that the water in the sea meets all the necessary standards. According to the press service of the city hall, citing specialists from Rospotrebnadzor, this summer the water even became cleaner by about 10% compared to 2015.

Environmentalists point to a problem with sewerage in the Krasnodar Territory. “Many times I have been on business trips to Sochi and its suburbs and with my own eyes I have seen sewage flowing into the sea. This situation is typical for Russia and for the settlements of Sochi. Sewerage and faecal water flow into the sea. Effluent ends up in local rivers that empty into the sea. Often people swim on the beaches where the runoff comes out,” says Vitaly Bezrukov, head of the My Planet charity environmental foundation.

About the sea, the sea, who spoiled you with a dinoflagellate?

Came out on sea beach- inhaled a fresh breeze ... - lost his memory. Or maybe respiratory paralysis will suffice or uncontrolled salivation will begin. The danger of catching such exotic ailments may lie in wait for vacationers on some tropical beaches. Their source is toxic microalgae that release terrible, sometimes fatal toxins for humans. Dinoflagellates, diatoms... These unicellular organisms make up to a quarter of the total organic matter of the planet, but few people know about them, because they are real invisible. A few years ago, only narrow specialists and seaside residents of the Southern Hemisphere knew about these representatives of the coastal zone. Now this misfortune has spread much more widely and even moved to our Black Sea and the Baltic. About this, as well as about what else our native resorts can surprise or sadden us with, in the material of the MK correspondent, who talked with a great connoisseur of seaweed, doctor of biological sciences, leading researcher at Moscow State University. Lomonosov, Alexander KAMNEV, a member of the ancient Moscow Society of Naturalists.

The sea is the sea. It is also in better times, when there was no such tourist boom, it required a respectful and careful attitude towards oneself: do not swim on wild beaches, do not swim behind the buoys, do not overheat in the sun. Now, when up to several million vacationers are expected in Anapa in the summer season (with a norm of 150-200 thousand, whose waste, in principle, the existing infrastructure can handle), draw your own conclusions ...

Toxic Aleksandrium settled on the Black Sea

Experts advise to treat the overpopulated sea coast in much the same way as we treat a polluted city: to compensate as much as possible for its possible negative impact. In the metropolis, doctors recommend the use of a shower, walks in parks, going out of town and a balanced diet, and on the coast you should try to walk more, be careful about what you put in your mouth, even more carefully than before, control the time spent near the water, be sure to use sunscreen and hats. Using a shower after swimming in sea water is also desirable - under the shower you wash off not only salt, but also pollutants, which, alas, are now almost everywhere. But maybe there is still an opportunity to choose a cleaner place in advance?

Into the Black Sea recent times a lot of untreated sewage gets in, Kamnev answers. - That's why best advice: choose places away from towns and cities. It is better to relax on organized beaches, avoid wild, untested ones.

- And if you compare the conditions in the Crimea and the North Caucasus?

Still climatic conditions in the Crimea differ from the North Caucasus: the humidity is different, the water in the Crimea is different, more flowing due to the ruggedness of the coastal zone. The Black Sea has several currents: surface and internal. One goes from Turkey, and the other, on the contrary, to Turkey. These currents are actively washing our Russian shores.

- Sometimes the water near the shore is brown. How to determine why?

Many of the banks have a clay base. And therefore, after a storm or rains, part of this clay, as well as coastal runoff, enters the sea, and the water becomes brown. Sometimes, due to the flowering of the coastal zone, the water acquires a greenish tint.

But there is a more serious reason that can affect the color of the water. Sometimes it changes shade a little when microalgae (diatoms) begin to multiply in it. Some of them release toxins into the air that cause serious illnesses in vacationers - from stomach upsets to amnesia. Mostly these live in the Atlantic, Indian, Pacific Oceans, in the seas South-East Asia, in the Mediterranean Sea, but recently moved to our shores.

- Can you tell me more about them?

The presence in the water of a toxic "substance" that kills fish and brings health problems to a person was known even by the ancient Indians who lived on the sea coast. The group of toxic exometabolites of algae includes substances with very different chemical structures and mechanisms of action. For example, amnesic toxins based on domoic acid and its derivatives are produced by diatoms of the genus Nitzschia. I breathed in such a breeze and got amnesia - a memory disorder.

Some dinoflagellates, such as Gymnodinium breve, are especially dangerous during their flowering. Brevetoxin, which is the strongest neurotoxin, is released into the atmosphere. In this case, the defeat occurs when air is inhaled in the coastal zone. Brevetoxin in exorbitant amounts causes salivation, severe runny nose, spontaneous defecation and muscle paralysis. Death as a result of receiving a large dose of a poisonous substance occurs as a result of respiratory arrest ...

- Horror what! Interesting, travel companies Are tourists warned about this?

Unfortunately, no one is taking this issue seriously. There are cases of poisoning, but do people associate them with algae? Most often they sin on some exotic viruses or insects. Many, on the other hand, tend to South coast USA, Florida. We consider it prestigious, despite the fact that the ocean there is sometimes teeming with dinoflagellates. The so-called red tides, when people do not swim and do not fish, there is a common thing.

- Microalgae make them red?

Yes. But depending on the species, the tides can be both brown and yellowish. They are typical for South America, Japan, New Zealand, Australia. Fishermen suffer greatly from such tides. Back in the early 90s, one-time damages to individual fishing companies amounted to $500 million due to invisible plankton. For example, the filaments of the diatoms Chaetoceros convolutes and C. coucavicornis have been observed to clog the gills of fish, resulting in mass kills in fish farms. Some dinoflagellates, such as Prymnesium parvum, P. patelliferum, Gymnodinium mikimotoi, and others, secrete hemolysins. In fish, they damage the gill epithelium, causing hemolysis (destruction of red blood cells. - N.V.). But the saddest thing is that recently we have begun to notice some dinoflagellates near our shores in the Black Sea and the Baltic. Here, apparently mediterranean sea, the genus Alexandrium has moved to us, which secretes paralytic toxins, the main chemical component of which is saxitoxin, a sodium channel blocker. It causes respiratory paralysis (muscle weakness) and, in acute cases, is fatal.

- What prompted them to move to us?

Most likely, they are carried by currents, while a favorable environment is formed due to changes in the temperature regime of our seas, they become warmer. In addition, the level of organic compounds in them is growing every year due to sewage discharged directly into the seas. It is also impossible to exclude the possible appearance of new bacteria in our seas. It is sad that these microalgae get into molluscs along the trophic (food) chains, and people can get very poisoned after tasting seafood in a seaside restaurant. Of course, toxins are not always released by microalgae, but only at certain periods. But it is necessary to study them, to classify them. In most countries of the world, especially in those where mariculture is developed, there has been a long time the legislative framework on aquatic toxins. MPCs have been determined, and the content of these substances is constantly monitored. Alas, there is nothing of the kind in Russia yet. But some types of plankton threaten a person not only with one-time poisoning. For example, algae of the genus Dinophysis and Prorocentrum, even in small amounts (about tens of thousands of cells per liter), are a tumor promoter, producing okadaic acid. Sometimes it is she who can cause a mild indigestion in a person. A day or two, and it passes, but many do not even suspect a more serious “gift” for a long time. Hepatotoxins of a number of freshwater blue-green algae are also dangerous. In addition to damaging the liver tissue, these toxins can cause serious dermatitis.

After all that has been said, the sea somehow does not attract. What to do for those who have already taken vouchers to the resort, but are very afraid of picking up some kind of toxin there?

You don't need to be afraid. We must live and enjoy life. From day to day I myself am going to the same Anapa, where I will swim and scuba dive. In order to protect yourself as much as possible from possible encounters with toxic microalgae, you need to know that most often their number near the coast increases after flashes of extreme heat. If possible, it is better to wait a few days after the temperature peaks and only then go into the water. You should also try not to swallow sea water while swimming, do not wash fruits and vegetables in it, so that toxins do not enter the gastrointestinal tract. The second point is the observance of hygiene rules. Many habitually wash off sea salt in the shower after bathing. This procedure is also necessary to flush out toxins. In addition to the shower, I would advise gargling after swimming in the sea drinking water and wash your hands with soap. Well, everyone would like to remind once again that the coastal zone of our seas is not intended for natural needs, there are toilets for this. The cleanliness of our seas depends to a greater extent on the improvement of our culture, the observance of prudence and the initiatives of city administrations in improving urban sewage treatment systems. By the way, while in our coastal zone the situation with diatoms is much better than off the coast of the same USA or Japan. We, fortunately, do not yet have red or yellow tides. And this is despite the fact that our seas have antiseptic properties to a lesser extent due to their low degree of salinity. If you do not take measures to cleanse them, this advantage can be lost.

It is undesirable to soar from under the water into the sky

Well, thanks for reassuring me a little. Now let me ask you a question as an experienced diver teaching children to scuba dive. At what age can you start scuba diving?

The question is interesting. First, I note that, having decided to go diving, each person should visit an ENT doctor and get confirmation that diving is not contraindicated for him, that is, there are no problems with the ears, in the presence of which it is impossible to dive to a depth.

Suppose permission from the doctor is received, then we determine the age. There is regulatory framework that are written for different levels training, and they have their own age categories. If you go down to our everyday level, it is optimal to start working in the sea with scuba gear from the age of 10. This is followed by many American schools. But my personal conviction is that you can start earlier, from 6–8 years old. Only the depth at the same time should be reasonable. For example, at 1.5 meters, the child will definitely not get injured. But at the same time, specialists should work with him. high class. Another important tip: if you, while relaxing at sea, decide to sign up for a dive with your child, then keep in mind that this should be done at least a day or two before flying on an airplane - the body will have to recover after diving.

While we are only learning the culture of dealing with the sea, for example, the Japanese, due to lack of territory, are already starting to build sea cities and gradually go under water. How will they solve the issue of waste disposal? How will they protect their underwater dwellings from the waste of neighboring states? It is already clear that the future will require all mankind to reconsider their attitude to the cradle of life, to radically change their philosophy, to realize that we are all really “boiling” on Earth in a single cauldron called the World Ocean.

The head of Rospotrebnadzor, the chief state sanitary doctor of Russia, Anna Popova, called "information stuffing" reports of a "catastrophic" sanitary situation on the Black Sea coast and outbreaks of intestinal infections. The sanitary and epidemiological situation with intestinal diseases in Sochi remains stable throughout the summer season, Popova told Interfax.

"The incidence rate of all acute intestinal infections this year is 10% lower than in the previous year. This applies to both bacterial and viral acute intestinal infections," she said.

According to Popova, the incidence of dysentery is 8.5% lower, and that of viral infections is 16%. "At the same time, this year Sochi has already received 14 million tourists, a little more than in the whole of last year," the head of Rospotrebnadzor added.

Popova said that a decrease in the incidence is observed in all resort towns Azov-Black Sea coast: in Anapa, Gelendzhik, Novorossiysk, Sochi, Tuapse, in the Yeysk, Temryuk regions. "Over the past summer period, 9,555 laboratory studies of sea water have been performed, while the proportion of samples that do not meet hygienic standards does not exceed 0.8%," she said.

According to the head of Rospotrebnadzor, over 5,600 sites are examined annually to control wastewater discharges in the city of Sochi. "No cases of group and outbreaks of morbidity have been registered," Popova added.

"A feature of this summer season was the appearance of unfounded information stuffing about the allegedly unstable epidemiological situation in several major cities. In each of these cases, the information was not confirmed, as well as on the situation in Sochi," the head of Rospotrebnadzor said.

On August 31, the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Veronika Skvortsova commented on the situation in Sochi: “It is impossible to say that the situation would have been significantly different from the situation a year or two ago. unlike the situation with anthrax, when the Ministry of Health headed the operational headquarters" (quote from Interfax).

Meanwhile, in August, the Sochi mayor's office noted that the number of poisonings this year is above average, although the city has not registered an epidemic of E. coli. In this regard, as reported on August 18 on the website Sochi.com, the mayor of the city Anatoly Pakhomov urged all residents and guests of the resort to be more attentive to their health, it was decided to distribute leaflets on hygiene rules to passers-by on the territory of the city and broadcast relevant videos on railway stations and at the airport.

Earlier, the complaints of tourists collecting signatures for a petition to the President of Russia with a request to influence the sanitary situation on the Black Sea coast were denied by the Ministry of Health of the Krasnodar Territory and Rospotrebnadzor. According to these departments, the congestion of the Black Sea beaches in the high season of 2016 exceeded 100%, and cases of group and outbreak morbidity associated with the water factor of infection transmission (swimming in the sea, rivers, use of recreational areas) have not been registered in the region.

The last few years in the media mass media you can find unflattering reviews from people vacationing on the Black Sea. The reason for such conversations is the incidence of intestinal infections among tourists. Is it really? It is possible that this information is false and is being disseminated in order to reduce the number of vacationers on the coast. Otherwise, vacation famous resorts The Black Sea is dangerous. How the situation is in reality, journalists and tourists who have been poisoned are trying to find out.

The incidence of intestinal infections in the Black Sea

Information about what is found in many vacationers appeared in 2012. Since then, this rumor has been spreading more and more every year. The presence of foci of infection in this area is indeed a big problem not only for vacationing tourists, but also threatens health. local residents and affects the profits of owners of resort areas.

Everyone knows that the Black Sea has always been considered great place for relax. The favorable climate and various amenities for tourists attract not only residents of Russia and Ukraine, but also people from other countries. In addition to recreation areas, there are many resorts and sanatoriums on the Black Sea coast. They are intended for people with chronic diseases. Therefore, the outbreak on the Black Sea coast is a large-scale problem. Nevertheless, it cannot remain unresolved, because not only resort owners, but also state authorities are interested in this.

Information about outbreaks of infections in the Black Sea: truth or myth?

The fact that an intestinal infection has appeared on the Black Sea coast is evidenced by a lot of people's reviews. Mostly complaining tourists who returned after a holiday and were dissatisfied with this situation. Some of them even conducted their own investigation and collected information from the head of the infectious disease hospital and local authorities. However, people did not receive a reliable answer. Complaints about infection with infectious pathologies scare others who want to relax on the Black Sea. This has a significant impact on the economy of the country.

Despite cases of infection, official confirmation there is no such information. Doctors say that infectious diseases are normal for summer period. Especially if you take into account the number of fruits and vegetables sold at the resorts. In addition, many come to the hospital with ordinary poisoning. No one is insured against such cases, regardless of where a person is: on vacation or at home.

Despite this, people planning a vacation often ask themselves the question: where on the Black Sea coast is there no intestinal infection? Indeed, this topic is quite relevant. Especially if the infectious lesion of the intestine is associated with bacteria found in sea water. Confirmation of such information on this moment no. But, if this turns out to be true, the owners of recreation areas will suffer big losses, and swimming in the sea will become dangerous for health.

What infections are found on vacation?

Intestinal infection on the Black Sea coast can be different. Especially if the cause of its development is not related to water contamination. The most common intestinal pathologies encountered on vacation in this region, are also diseases whose pathogens live in the sea. At the same time, people can become infected both while swimming and eating fish from this reservoir. There are the following types of infectious diseases:

All these diseases are acute pathologies of the gastrointestinal tract. In addition, when eating sea fish, you can get a specific infection - opisthorchiasis. This disease adversely affects the cells of the liver and bile ducts.

Reasons for the development of intestinal infections during rest

Despite the fact that intestinal infection occurs on the Black Sea coast, its cause is not always in poor water quality. After all, the causative agents of pathologies can be anywhere. As the doctor of the infectious diseases hospital, located in one of the resort towns of the Black Sea, explains, most often patients come to the clinic with banal food poisoning. In this case, it is impossible to talk about the contamination of sea water. breed in vegetables and fruits, eggs, meat of poor quality. Transmission and spread of infection from sick people to healthy tourists is also possible. It is known that intestinal pathologies are highly contagious lesions.

Intestinal infection on the Black Sea coast: symptoms of pathology

Signs of an infection acquired on the Black Sea coast may be different. It depends on the pathogen. However, all intestinal infections have similar symptoms. The main ailments that you can pick up include enterocolitis, dyspepsia and intoxication. People who have been infected experience the following symptoms:

  • Nausea and vomiting.
  • Headache.
  • General weakness and fever.
  • Pain in the abdomen, localized in the lower and middle sections.
  • Diarrhea.
  • The appearance of impurities in the feces. With some infections, there is a discharge of blood, pus.

Specific signs of dysentery is pain in the left iliac region. Tenesmus is also observed - a false urge to defecate. With salmonellosis, the feces become green, reminiscent of “frog spawn”.

Diagnosis of infectious diseases of the intestine

Diagnostic criteria include diarrhea (bowel emptying more than 10 times a day), fever, abdominal pain. It is important to distinguish diseases among themselves. After all, the choice of treatment depends on the causative agent of the pathology. To this end, pay attention to the change in feces (its appearance), localization and nature of pain. To identify the pathogen, biological fluids and excrement are sent for laboratory testing.

Intestinal infection on the Black Sea coast: treatment of pathology

Such pathologies cause such dangerous disorders as loss of fluid from the body (with vomit, feces), changes in water-salt metabolism. This is the danger of an intestinal infection on the Black Sea coast. How to treat such a disease? Therapy should be aimed at combating the pathogen and correcting violations. The choice of drugs depends on the etiology of the infection. In some cases, treatment is carried out with the drug "Penicillin", "Metronidazole", "Ceftriaxone". To replenish the volume of fluid, it is recommended to take Regidron. In case of severe violations, an intravenous infusion of saline is performed, and the electrolyte balance is corrected.

To avoid infection, it is recommended to postpone the vacation on the Black Sea for 1 month. That is, to come to the resort before the opening of the season. People who relax at sea in May or early June do not complain about the development of infectious diseases. Unlike the tourists who came in July and August. It is also recommended not to take infants with you. Refrain from climate change should be people who have problems with the immune system, suffering from acute illnesses.

Prevention of intestinal infections in the Black Sea

Before going to the resort, you should consult with your family doctor. Doctors also need to be warned that, judging by the reviews of tourists, an intestinal infection may develop on the Black Sea coast. Prevention for those who decide to go on vacation is to perform the following activities. First, you must follow the rules of hygiene. It should be remembered that you can not swim in the presence of damage to the skin, during menstruation. Secondly, fruits and vegetables should be thoroughly washed. In the presence of small children, products should be poured over with boiling water. Thirdly, you need to clean and wash the fish well, give it a thorough heat treatment. Drinking bottled water is recommended.

Russian tourist appealed to Vladimir Putin with a request to take control of the situation on Black Sea resorts Russian Federation in connection with the increased incidence of intestinal infection after swimming in the sea.

Even a resident of Norilsk (the most polluted city on the planet) called the sanitary situation in the Black Sea resorts “catastrophic”. Larisa Yangol, the author of the petition, writes that “being with a small child in Adler for only two days and having swum in the sea, she and her child ended up in an “infectious disease” full of vacationers with small children.

Since mid-August, numerous vacationers have been posting on social media about cases of intestinal infection and rotavirus in Sochi and Anapa, as well as their reports on visits to overcrowded hospitals, Kommersant reports. At the same time, the Ministry of Health of the Krasnodar Territory and Rospotrebnadzor deny mass outbreaks of infection. The regional prosecutor's office announced the closure of the beach in Novorossiysk due to the dangerous proximity to the sewer.

Last weeks school holidays were overshadowed by numerous reports of outbreaks of intestinal infection and rotavirus in the resorts of the Black Sea coast of the Krasnodar Territory. Messages are published in social networks vacationers themselves, as a result of which some users who booked tickets and vacations on the Black Sea on last days August or the Velvet season abandon their plans.

Petition "Stop the intestinal infection on the Black Sea!" on the resource change.org by Monday, August 29, has collected more than 700 signatures. The initiator of the appeal to the President of Russia, Larisa Yangol from Norilsk, described the sanitary situation on the Black Sea coast as catastrophic: “Being with a small child in Adler for only two days and swimming in the sea, we got an intestinal infection instead of rest and a tour to the infectious diseases hospital, which turned out to be overcrowded with vacationers, sick the kids even lie in the corridors, there are not enough places!” - writes Larisa Yangol.

The BlogSochi resource published a message from Angela Alekseenko, who complained that her child in Adler had contracted intestinal infections just by sitting on the beach. “60 children are admitted to the hospital overnight with one diagnosis - “intestinal infection”, all the children are in the hands of their parents, they are constantly vomiting, they are exhausted and cannot stand on their feet,” the woman writes. “Poor doctors who do nothing make it, the hospitals are overcrowded." Social media users from different cities Russia, in their comments on these reports, confirm that cases of intestinal diseases, especially children, are not uncommon on the Black Sea coast.

The editor-in-chief of the BlogSochi resource, Alexander Valov, believes that the sanitary and epidemiological situation in Sochi may worsen due to shortcomings during commissioning Olympic venues infrastructure (treatment facilities do not operate at full capacity), as well as due to the massive construction of mini-hotels and housing that is connected to the sewerage with violations or not connected at all. In this regard, garbage and sewage fall into streams and rivers, and then into the sea, Mr. Valov notes.

According to the Ministry of Resorts of the Krasnodar Territory, the congestion of the Black Sea beaches in the high season of 2016 exceeded 100%, however, the controlling structures deny mass cases of violations of sanitary standards in recreation areas. The regional department of Rospotrebnadzor Kommersant reported that there were no cases of group and outbreaks associated with the water factor of infection transmission (swimming in the sea, rivers, use of recreational areas) in the region.

This information was confirmed to Kommersant by the Ministry of Health of the Krasnodar Territory. As for the state of sea water, according to research by Rospotrebnadzor, the proportion of water samples that do not meet hygienic standards for microbiological indicators was 0.8%; according to sanitary and chemical indicators - 0.4%.

According to the regional prosecutor's office, in the summer of 2016 there were three cases of suspension of beaches due to violations of operating standards: in Central region Sochi, the Lastochka and Svetlyachok beaches were closed (at the time of the inspection, the tenants did not provide the territory with a shower and toilet, now the violations have been eliminated).

In Novorossiysk, the court closed the Neptune beach, as it is located in close proximity to sewer facilities, and studies of sea water showed an excess of permissible pollution standards.
