Children's skiing gardens and various “devices” for skiing with children are well developed. It was very interesting to watch how they work with children - various games, catch-ups, etc. Parents can send their kids to kindergarten without much fear, and ride calmly. Pleased with a fairly inexpensive ski pass (much cheaper than in Krasnaya Polyana and Leningrad region). The blue runs are quite winding and with a slight slope very suitable for beginners, the red and black ones are already much more serious. I must say that on the blue slopes you get tired much more than on the red and black ones: there are a lot of people, most of them are just learning, so there is little enjoyment of skiing, it takes a lot of concentration in order not to hurt anyone. And there are few on red and black skaters, there is where to accelerate properly, test your technique and enjoy riding. For confident skiers, the ideal option is a couple of warm-up descents along the blue slopes, and then riding on more serious ones. Three days at the resort fly by unnoticed, especially considering apres-ski in cozy Czech restaurants. In total, the resort has 52 restaurants, 17 discos, nightclubs, bars, cinemas, shops. If you still have the strength, you can spend time in the indoor pools, play tennis, squash, visit the fitness center and paragliding. Runs throughout the resort free bus, so if you need to save money, you can choose a simpler hotel without being tied to the location, many hotels have their own minibuses.

The ski season in the Czech Republic begins in mid-December and ends in mid-April. European slopes are well-groomed, very comfortable and affordable, in contrast to the expensive hyped European resorts. Strangely enough, but at present there is a great demand in the Czech Republic for its many ski resorts. People are attracted to them by the constancy of the weather and the relatively low cost. The technical support of resorts, in particular lifts, is improving every year. The best, among the mass of ski resorts in the Czech Republic, is Spindlerov Mlyn from January to April, along with Harrachov and winter resorts National Park Giant Mountains.

Giant Mountains- ski resort national park Czech Republic, is located on the highest mountain range (height is about 1.1 - 1.4 km). It is located on the border with Poland, 130 km from Prague. GARRAKHOV

Harrachov is truly a city of skiers, skiing in the Czech Republic can be fully associated with this city, because the ski season is open there all year round, the snow cover can be considered ideal, the cover is suitable for both alpine and cross-country skiing. If the weather does not indulge in snow, then it is sprayed to create the cover necessary for skiing. The chair lift will take you to the main ski area connected to Rokytnice. The longest slopes are located on Lysa Hora (Lysa Hora), you can get to them on an additional lift, since the main one does not reach there. Ski slopes have elevation differences of up to 500 meters (from 700 to 1200), which is great for skiing, jogging trails stretch for 50,100 km, so there is where to turn around. For those who do not know, it should be noted that it was here that ski jumping competitions were held, namely in 1983 and 1992. The city has tennis courts, ski schools, saunas, fitness centers, swimming pools, both outdoor and indoor. In general, if you don’t know how to do something, then you can easily learn it in Harrachov. This is a wonderful place for family vacations or ski tours in the Czech Republic.

SPINDLEROV MLYN

Another wonderful city is Spindlerov Mlyn, located 130 km from Prague, at an altitude of 750 m above sea level. This ski resort can be called the most-most, because it is the most popular and most visited. The local climate allows skiing all year round. Spindlerov Mlyn annually hosts competitions in snowboarding, alpine skiing, and it should be noted that the World Skiing Cup among the disabled is held here.

Ski slopes stretch for 10-20 km, while cross-country skiing trails reach a length of 40 km. The whole complex is serviced by 10 ski lifts. The main ski areas are: St. Peter (Svaty Petr) on Mount Plan (Plan, 748-1185 m) and Medvedin (Medvedin, 745-1233 m). The resort has 16 main slopes, of which 4 are “black”, that is, difficult to pass.

The resort is not deprived of a cultural program, in local hotels and boarding houses you can civilly relax and have fun. You can go to a disco, warm up in a sauna, sit in a bar, etc. If you don't know how to ski, it's not a problem, almost every ski resort has ski schools (Spindlerov Mlyn is no exception), whose services you can use.

FINGER UNDER THE SNOW

Another popular ski resort is Pec pod Snezkou. It is there that the popular ski park Ski-Pec is located. It is located at an altitude of about 800 - 1600 m above sea level. Snow lies here for 5-6 months. The climate of Pec Pod Snezkou is close to the polar one, which ensures almost constant precipitation in the form of snow. The choice of ski slopes is 4, one of which is considered the best in the Czech Republic, this is the night track Javor. It closes at 9 pm because night skiing is included in the day ski pass. Since during the day the ski slopes are “erased”, the snow cover becomes unsuitable for normal skiing, it is restored overnight with snow cannons and snowcats. The resort is served by 10 lifts and a 4-seat lift. Free shuttles run to the park every 20-40 minutes. The resort will also appeal to snowboarders, for whom jumps and slopes are equipped. In the lowlands, in the valley at the foot of the mountains, there are hotels, cottages, as well as restaurants and bars. Discos are constantly held, shops, clubs, etc. work.

Liberec

Liberec is the largest city in the north of the Czech Republic. The city is located on Mount Jested in the Jizera Mountains. For some reason, it is considered the “German capital”. Since this resort is close to the German border, the German spirit is felt accordingly.

Mount Ještěd is equipped with 5 rope tows, one of which is a double-seat lift and one is a cabin lift. On the mountain there are three jumps, two blue training runs and five sports, 4 red runs, one black. To make skiing comfortable and safe, the track is maintained in this state by several snow cannons. Some trails are illuminated at night, so some parts are suitable for night skiing.

In the city, away from the roads, there are hotels, bars, museums, clubs, etc. Here you can have a good rest from the bustle of the city and relax.

YABLONETS OVER YIZERA

This town is located 100 km from Prague, near the right tributary of the Laba River, which is a tributary of the Jizera. The city of Jablonec nad Jizerou is called (Jablonec nad Jizerou, in size - small and cozy. There are two mountain ranges for skiing, these are the Krkonoše and the Jizern Mountains. The Polish border is also close here. The equipment here is at the level. The most high points two mountain ranges- these are Smrk (Smrk, 1124 m) and Jizera (Jizera, 1122 m). The resort boasts good running tracks, up to 9 kilometers long. The difference in altitudes is about 600 km (from 650 to 1320 km). There is enough equipment at the ski resort, it is served by 9 lifts. In addition to skiing pleasures, there are also trails for cyclists and for hiking.

ROKITNICE OVER JIZERA

Another no less famous ski resort is located in the city - Rokytnice nad Jizerou (Rokytnice nad Jizerou). A huge complex equipped with 28 lifts that can take you almost anywhere in the resort. There are many tracks suitable for both beginners and professional skiers, there is a slalom slope, there are also funiculars that will help you climb to the very top of Bald Mountain. Those who do not want to ski can try to slide down the mountain, on a sleigh or on an inflatable boat, which is no less exciting, you can also have fun bowling, warm up in the sauna, relax in the bar. Everyone will find something for themselves, there is even a fitness center. By the way, in Rokytnice nad Jizerou there is an office of the Spartak ski school, where you can rent skis and hire a coach

GRUBES - JESENIK

Perhaps the most main city for lovers of skiing - this is Gruby Jeseník, the territory occupied by this resort belongs to the Jeseniki mountain system, which belongs to northern Moravia. Here is the highest peak of this mountain system in Moravia - Praded (Praded, 1491 m). From its top you can see several other resorts - the Krkonoše and the Tatras. The region that surrounds this resort is a nature reserve. The pristine nature has been preserved here, in which deer and wild boars still live. Hruby-Jesenik is a real paradise for skiers, and indeed for everyone who appreciates and loves winter sports. The starting point for skiers is the Ramzovske Sedlo pass. From here, a cable car is stretched, along which you can get to another pass - Chervenogorske Sedlo (Cervenohorske Sedlo) and the popular place for skiing professionals - prnik (Keprnik). The main trails for beginners can be found on the opposite slope near the village of Petrikov. Nearby are cross-country trails, which can be reached by lifts. The most popular resorts in Hruby Jesenik - Velké Losiny and Hanušovice.

VELKE TIGHTS

Velke Losiny, as already mentioned, is one of the two most popular ski resorts, which is located at the foot of the Hruba Jeseník, near the Desna River. In addition to ski activities, there are thermal springs rich in sulfur, the temperature of the springs reaches about 24-28 degrees. Not far away, just 4 kilometers away is the spa resort of Bludov. The slopes are designed for skiers of any level, there are both “black” ones for professionals, and regular ones for beginners. The running track passes near the settlement, which makes it easier to find and use it. Velké Losiny is well suited for holidays, weekends, you can come here with your family and have a wonderful rest. HANUSZOWICE

old town, which is called Hanusovice, also belongs to the ski resorts. It is located in the Krupa Valley, which is located right on the border of Bohemia and Moravia (northern), here it is only 15 km to the Polish border. The main slope for skiing is located on the mountain Ralicky Sneznik (Ralicky Sneznik), whose height is 1423 m. Morava, Sklenne, Petrikov, the total length of these routes is about 35 km. In addition to the usual trails, there are also cross-country trails, one of which, the main one, passes near Hanušovice. Wonderful place in order to spend time, or to relax actively. Good place to stay with family.

GOD'S GIFT AND KLINOVETS

This resort is located in the center of the Ore Mountains, 28 km from Karlovy Vary on the border with Germany. The total length of the trails is a little over 70 km, it turns out that the resort is considered the highest mountain city in all of Central Europe, the height above sea level is 1025 m. These 70 km of trails include two night trails. Klinovec is the highest peak at 1244 m. The slope of this mountain is suitable for skiing, you can also snowboard, the park is specially equipped for this. There are lifts and parking. Novako is a ski area for beginners and children, combining a complex of simple slopes that do not require good skiing skills. There is a school for children where they can teach skiing, the difference in heights on the slopes is about 80 - 250 meters. Another one is right next to it major resort, Klinovec. This resort is served by 7 ski lifts, with a total of 6 km of pistes, of which one is black, two are red and three are blue. Snow cannons keep the tracks in perfect condition.

There is also a snowboard park and a ski school for children. There is a free lift for children. Interestingly, children under 100 cm tall are admitted free of charge.
