April 6, 2016, 10:20 Inshōtei: A Place to Enjoy Spring Snacks While Viewing Cherry Blossoms

Pink mist envelops cities and villages - cherry fever begins in Japan. Resistance is futile: one must enjoy these delicate petals. When else to do it, if not at lunchtime or during a delicious dinner? Here are a few places where you can enjoy not only khanami, but also taste delicious spring snacks.

It looks like an eatery, perhaps spoiling the overall look of the park, but it looks exactly the same as it did many centuries ago. True, the cafe was renovated less than ten years ago, and today it serves sukiyaki (beef meat with vegetables) and classic Kaiseki cuisine.

During the cherry blossom season, Inshotei also serves seasonal dishes in special tiered bento packaging.

The most delicious dinner is served in Hasidaya. A big plus is its location. From the window of the second floor there is a beautiful view of the cherry blossoms.

And the restaurant's cuisine is replete with chicken dishes, teppanyaki, yakitori and tebasaki wings are served here. Interestingly, when it gets cold outside, they offer hot nabe in pots.

Arriving in the Kichijoji area, you can go to Kin no Saru, a place that boasts an ideal location right at the entrance to Inokashira Park. From the magnificent open-air terrace, a magnificent panorama appears to the eye. And here you can taste delicious dishes of inventive modern Japanese cuisine.

Cherry blossoms were in full bloom in Tokyo on Thursday. The Japan Meteorological Agency said that against the background of warm weather, this year it happened three days earlier than usual. True, the record of 2015 has not been broken. According to the agency, about 80% of the buds on Somei-Yose sakuraThe ino at Yakusuni Shrine have already blossomed. On Thursday, pink blossoms also enveloped the cities of Fukui, Gifu and Nagoya in central Japan, Wakayama and Tottori in the west, and Saga in southwestern Japan.

In all cities, Japanese cherries blossomed ahead of schedule this year. In Tokyo, a temperature of +20.2°C was recorded (which corresponds to the long-term average at the end of April), and in Gifu and Wakayama, the thermometer showed even higher - 22°C of heat - the temperature usual for May in this region.

March 25, 2016, 17:47 Tokyo hotels are 'dyed' pink before cherry blossoms

Cherry blossoms are blooming all over Japan. On the same days, preparations are underway for hanami - the traditional Japanese custom of admiring spring flowers. The custom dates back to the Heian period (794-1185). Even though the word khanami means "admiring the flowers", in fact, it is meant by the contemplation of cherry blossom petals. This is a period of relaxation and fun for families and friends under the shade of the charming cherry blossoms.

Restaurant Steak House Katsura

In addition to gardens and viewing platforms, from which indescribable beauty landscapes cherry blossoms, in Japan you can find other great places where many people rejoice at the arrival of spring. Many establishments organize a range of events. For example, restaurants offer their visitors to enjoy the unusual taste of seasonal dishes.

For most Japanese restaurant chefs, spring is a period that inspires and fills them with creative energy. Especially popular are mountain vegetables, as well as sea bass. A unique menu with these ingredients is available at this time of the year.

The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo, as well as the nearby Grand Prince Hotel Shin-Takanawa, located near Shinagawa Station, for example, hold an annual festival. It starts March 19th and ends April 10th. The Japanese garden, located on the territory of the hotels, becomes open to visitors. Everyone can enjoy the beauty of more than 230 flowering trees of 19 types of sakura, which blooms until the end of April.

The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo's restaurant has a dedicated balcony. Here you can not only taste grilled fish, but also admire the symbol of Japan. At the same time, guests feel very comfortable thanks to the heated floor. The total cost of the menu is 35,000 yen. The dishes include lobster, grilled beef from Kobe, shrimp and crab. But in the hotel restaurant Ristorante Caffe Ciliegio you can admire the sakura through the huge panoramic windows. This establishment offers guests an Italian menu for a total of 7,000 yen.

The Tokyo Marriott Hotel is located in Gotenyama, a Tokyo neighborhood famous for its cherry orchards. He kicked off the spring with the Spring Delight event at the hotel's restaurant and bar. There is a special themed menu dedicated to sakura. The event will continue until April 15th. Recently, an open cherry terrace "Sakura Terrace Box" has also become available to visitors. Here, the menu is represented by themed lunch boxes wrapped in a special furoshiki fabric. The obento includes 16 small dishes: from appetizers to desserts, incl. soup. The total cost of the menu is 3900 yen. You can order such a lunch box from noon to 16 hours. The restaurant also offers "Sakura Afternoon Tea": amazing buns, which include mashed cherry fruits. The tea set costs 3,600 yen per person. You can enjoy from 13:00 to 16:30.

The gardens of the Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo are another establishment that has not bypassed the cherry blossom season. In its garden, located in the Mejiro area, guests can enjoy 120 cherry blossom trees, as well as a variety of spring dishes from the menu of the hotel's restaurant. You can do this until April 10th.

Japanese restaurant Miyuki offers a spring menu of "Hamanu Gozen" for 5,500 yen and "Kaiseki" for 16,500 yen. But the Italian restaurant Il Teatro can please visitors with pasta with veal fillet and truffles worth 5,500 yen and 16,500 yen, respectively. Also themed dishes are available in the Hotel Chinzanso's buffet menu. The cost for an adult is 4200 yen, and for students and schoolchildren it is 2600 yen.

Soon Japan will turn into a solid garden. Hanami, cherry blossom season, will be the occasion for folk festivals and a series of national festivals. Picnics in the bosom of nature under pink inflorescences, a magical cloud covering trees, is an ancient tradition of the Japanese.

What to drink, what to eat - customs determine. Along with the classic sweetness, sakura-mochi, as well as other themed snacks of the spring season, the Japanese are happy to bring a touch of modernity and extravagant piquancy to the tradition praised for centuries. The current century also makes its own adjustments. A fantastic marketing ploy was discovered by large corporations. Familiar to all food products, but with the symbolism of sakura - doing business on the flowering of the symbol of Japan is now a fashion trend.

Global holdings have released a line of popular products with a "wind adjustment". The period of the high tourist season, which is built around a two-week cherry blossom season, ensures good sales and a prosperous financial future for the project. As a result, as in parks throughout Japan, everything from beer to coffee, from chocolate to chips, even the all-McDonald's succumbed to the onslaught of hanami-mania, blooms in a riot of pink shades on supermarket shelves. TOP 10 amazing and unusual products that you want to try just for the packaging design, in our rating.

  • 2 . Now that you're the proud owner of a mug à la sakura branch, why not fill it with Kimura's Sakura Coke? Real sakura leaf extract gives this sparkling drink a real spring flavor. Interestingly, these are not the brand's first "alchemical" experiments. Previously, they had already invented curry, tomato and wasabi flavored soda. Customers were not only alive, but also satisfied with the novelty. So, definitely - the company knows what it is doing.
  • 4 . If the miracle drink sake or chu-hi is too strong for your sophisticated taste, then the sakura motifs in Sanktgalle beer are just what you need. Moreover, the manufacturer, when inventing this drink, probably drew inspiration from the original gastronomic traditions of Japan. Sakura-mochi is a springtime treat made with rice cake and beans wrapped in sakura leaves. It is noteworthy that this type of beer is brewed in a brewery based in Kanagawa Prefecture. Here they are very careful not only to the production process, but also to the supplied raw materials. For the production of beer, only cherries from Takato (Nagano Prefecture) are used. The interesting taste of sakura-mochi, together with the low hop content, makes Sanktgalle beer a spring-like light and refined drink.
  • 6 . It is known that Nestle has already “tested” on Japanese customers bars with pumpkin flavors and, of course, cherries. But this year, the company decided to go further with its bold ideas. Pistachio and raspberry flavored kit-kats came in a spring-style box. The owners of the company claim that this is the perfect taste of "hanami pleasure".

Lindt
  • 7 . The Lindt company presented a win-win option to the judgment of customers. Cherry macaroons are the apotheosis for those who are crazy about cherry sweets. Treats are filled with cherry ganache puree. The taste of real hanami is available from April 12 at the Lindt Chocolate chain. For those who don't want that enough, they can get a culinary ecstasy by tasting an iced cherry juice and white chocolate smoothie garnished with white chocolate chips and a cherry syrup pattern.
  • 9 . How about without Red Bull? The consortium could hardly stay away from the sakura trend. Rest assured, this pink-colored energy drink is designed to keep you awake (whether you like it or not) until the morning at all hanami parties.

Baskin Robbins
  • 10 . After a 24-year lull, the company strives to literally "blow up" the taste buds of the sweet tooth. The brand has managed to create something... Sakura flavored salted ice cream. Sounds weird? Take another look at the previous 9 points - are you surprised by anything else? Real sakura leaves and sea salt, combined with the sweet, creamy taste of ice cream, clearly took a quarter of a century to invent. You can try this delicacy until the end of May.

Drinking pink Red Bull, snacking on a sakura burger with cherry butter or macaroon, you will undoubtedly remember this spring in Japan for a long time. In addition, manufacturers have provided for the delicate side of life. Cherry blossom toilet paper is probably meant to make your trip to the bathroom as memorable as the height of all the cherry blossom parties put together. Eat, pray, love... sakura is not a bad motto for hanami, is it?

March 19, 2016, 10:10 am "Cherry Blossom Front" begins its journey through the archipelago, following to the north of Japan

Cherry blossoms began to bloom in Japan on Saturday, the Japan Meteorological Agency said. Somei-Yoshino trees are always the first to bloom, and they can already be observed in various regions of the country. Cherry blossoms bloomed four days earlier than usual on Saturday in Fukuoka. Seven days earlier in Nagoya. The agency attributes this to unusually warm weather conditions. The height of flowering is expected from 26 to 29 March.

« I feel the breath of spring”, - said Yasutaka Nanri from the city of Fukushima, who was just passing by a flowering tree. " Looking forward to the trees blooming all over Japan and the cherry blossom festival to begin».

The responsibilities of the Japan Meteorological Agency include monitoring the front of cherry blossoms throughout the country. Relevant reports and forecasts, the agency releases throughout the season, informing about how the flowering is gradually moving from the south to the north of Japan. Not only Japanese hanami lovers are interested in accurate forecasts from the meteorological agency, but also tourists who come from all over the world for the cherry blossom viewing festival.

The Japan Weather Association is urging people planning to come for hanami to organize their trip earlier than usual this year. Cherry blossoms will be in full bloom from the end of March, as well as the first week of April in the western part of the Kanto region.

The transition from winter to summer is just beginning, which means that the time of magic is coming - the season of flowering. As winter loosens its grip, the delicate petals begin to push their way out of the buds on the whimsical branches. In February it is a plum, and at the end of March it is a sakura. This is the earliest sign that, soon, the heat will gradually envelop the entire Japanese archipelago. This process, like its surreal "pink" results, portends something incredibly good for the Japanese, though difficult to describe. Even strict civil servants become kinder when the cherry blossoms are in bloom.

Cherry blossoms in Tokyo at the end of March

The weather still echoes the chill of winter, but the hearts and minds of the Japanese population have already begun to thaw. I can only describe it as "spring break of the soul". While the word 'hanami' simply means 'flower viewing' in Japanese, the spring festival of joy symbolizes everyone's favorite season, spring. So, prepare your raincoat and picnic utensils, we will choose the place that best suits your family's preferences. Below are a few places in Tokyo that should definitely be marked on your travel map in the spring.

Yoyogi Park. This is one of my favorite places for hanami. Although, this place may not be the best for children. Sure, there are beautiful trees and a unique party atmosphere, but you'll also find broken bottles, aggressive crows, and hordes of drunken college students. Nevertheless, despite all this, there is something in this park - perhaps it is the energy of the local nature that makes you come back here every season. People here really do whatever they want: hold costume parties, banquets and sing karaoke. Everyone around is friendly and welcoming to children. But when hopped, they may not notice that they are lighting a cigarette inches from your baby's face, so be careful. The best place for a family holiday is in the center of the park, right behind the fountains. There are not so many flowering trees here, but on the other hand, there is a lot of space where children can frolic and run around without fear of bumping into other strolling passers-by.

Arisugawa park. Located a few minutes from Hiroo station. There are not so many sakuras in this park, but there are a lot of picturesque places. Near the library there is a good playground for kids. Azabu National supermarket is right across the street - everything you need for a picnic can be bought there. Since Arisugawa Park is hilly, it will be interesting for older children to play hide and seek here. There are many stone steps on the territory. Those who walk with strollers can use the sidewalk that runs along the entire perimeter of the park.

Ueno park

Ueno Park. This is an 800-pound "gorilla", which holds the championship among all the parks in Tokyo on hanami. But all I can advise is to stay away from this place. I've been there with my kids a few times over the past decade and always felt like leaving immediately. If there are child-friendly places in the park, I would like to know them. But, all I have ever seen are dozens of hopelessly drunken bodies lying right under the flowering trees. Those who are claustrophobic, beware.

Aoyama cemetery. Here you will find some of the most colorful and photogenic places of the season, but be aware that this is a cemetery, so pay tribute and respect the etiquette. It's a nice place to walk with babies, but it's not a place where children should play. The best option is a walk.

Nakameguro river

Nakameguro river. The landscape here is especially magical after sunset. This is an ideal place for a walk, though not in the afternoon. Flowering trees grow mainly on the main highway, where there is little room for children to maneuver. On the other hand, all coastal restaurants and kiosks are along the sidewalk, and this perfect place for walks, snacks and admiring the trees. Especially after dusk, because the cherry blossoms are illuminated by artificial illumination.

Shinjuku Gyoen National Park. My top pick for families during hanami season (and beyond) is Shinjuku Gyoen. The garden is rich in beautiful trees and picturesque places to relax. The well-being and cleanliness in the park is well monitored: there is no pigeon droppings and broken glass. The lawns are neatly mowed and not trampled down. If it's cold outside, you can take a tour of the newly renovated greenhouse to warm up. By all accounts, Shinjuku Gyoen wins. In particular, it is worth considering the fact that the hanami season here lasts even longer, because there are “yaesakura” growing here, which usually bloom for about two more weeks after other varieties of cherries have already crumbled. There are, however, a few peculiarities: the park closes at 4 pm, and the use of alcohol on the territory is prohibited. Bags are often checked at the gate, though I've seen guards turn a blind eye to a bottle of wine or sake.

March 10, 2016, 13:43 At the cherry blossom festival, one of the main characters will be a Norwegian

The 27-year-old Norwegian has become the first Western woman to be chosen to star in the Cherry Blossom Festival in Tsubame, Niigata Prefecture. During the festival, all participants dress up as courtesans from the Edo period (1603-1868).

Annette Hansen, who now lives in Tokyo, was chosen by the festival organizers to play the role of one of the three oirans or courtesans who will parade through the streets of the city on April 17th. For the first time in the festival's 74 years of existence, a non-Japanese woman has been selected for this key role, the Tsubame City Tourism Board said.

Hansen, who came to Japan in 2010, is a reservations manager hotel rooms in one big company. According to official statements by local officials, the Norwegian was selected on the basis of a careful selection, consisting of two rounds.

« To be chosen for the role of oiran is a great honor for me. This festival is associated with the original Japanese traditions, because during its holding a special role is given to national clothes and the symbol of Japan - sakura.”, said Annette Hansen.

In addition to the Norwegian, two more Japanese women will take part in the festival. All three will be dressed as courtesans. About 70 participants will also take part in the festival in the role of servants. After the official part, an extensive photo session with the participants is expected.

The main characters of the holiday will be wearing sandals on a 15 cm platform. They will have to demonstrate the unique oiran walking style that they used to entertain guests back in the distant Edo period.

It is worth noting that when making the final decision regarding the main characters of the holiday, among other things, their physical fitness was taken into account. The fact is that the total weight of the girl's outfits is about 30 kilograms.

Annette Hansen also said that she was very worried, because at previous festivals there were unpleasant embarrassments, when the girls chosen for the role of courtesans could not finish their participation in the festival due to an unbearable two-hour physical load. In addition to the outfit, the girls will also have a special wig from the Edo period, which was customary to wear in that era.

Sakura-flavoured Pepsi to hit the market for the first time

Japanese beverage manufacturer Suntory has announced its first-ever launch of soda with a unique taste of sakura and pepsi, the first batch of which should be released this spring.

When it comes to soft drinks in Japan, the local consumer is spoiled for choice, from white winter Pepsi to Halloween-themed ghost Pepsi. Japan's national Pepsi maker, Suntory, has many original products to its credit, such as a combination lemon and mint flavor, or even a salted watermelon flavor, but a sakura-flavoured Pepsi has never been released before.

Something slightly similar was produced by other manufacturers, such as cola-flavored strawberry milk, which appeared in the spring of 2014 during the cherry blossom season.

Back in the middle of winter, bottles of Asahi beer began to take on spring motifs associated with the upcoming cherry blossoms. A Japanese brewery recently released a new beer line called Asahi Super Dry. The alcoholic drink will go on sale this spring. It will be available for purchase for a limited period: only in the spring.

The beer itself, as a drink, will not change at all - it will be the same Asahi Super Dry beer. Only the design of its packaging will change. The bottle will be decorated in bright pink color of sakura during their most active flowering. Such a bottle, no doubt, will be an excellent decoration for the holiday of contemplation of Japanese cherries.

For the second year in a row, Asahi welcomes spring with its special line of drinks. Last year, spring beers were welcomed by the Japanese, especially by the fair half. Consumers bought about 620,000 bottles of alcoholic beverages, which was twice the expected results. This year it is planned to produce several times more seasonal products.

The beer line will feature bottles with a capacity of 633 and 500 milliliters and cans with a capacity of 135, 250, 350 and 500 milliliters, as well as a special two-liter aluminum mini-keg.

Regardless of the volume, all containers have a bright and festive design. It is worth noting that Asahi Super Dry beer has already gone on sale in cans with a capacity of 350 and 500 milliliters, the rest of the products will be available and will go on free sale from March 8. Note that beer in cans of 633 and 500 milliliters was almost completely sold on February 2, it should go on sale again on March 29.

The Asahi Super Dry spring beer line will be on sale until the end of April. Therefore, if you are going to Japan during this period, do not miss the excellent opportunity to acquire an exclusive offer from the Asahi brewery.

« If only we could fall like cherry blossoms in spring - so pure and radiant!»

The Second World War transformed the cherry blossom color. The twenty-two-year-old kamikaze pilot who composed this haiku before he died in action in February 1945 never foresaw how soon Hiroshima and Nagasaki would give a new "color" to such a familiar cherry blossom - a flowering transformed into a human ideal of beauty achievable thanks to a beautiful death. It is necessary to be it in order to enjoy it to the fullest, and to become a part of it, as the suicide bombers became.

« Dear Parents' wrote another, ' please congratulate me. I was given a great opportunity to die. This is my last day. The fate of our Motherland now depends on the decisive naval battle in the south, where I will fall like a blossom from a shining sakura».

The cherry blossom has long symbolized disappearance, beauty, the beauty of disappearance, and the warrior ideal of Japan. He has always glorified self-sacrifice. That is why, on the threshold of the 20th century, it was the sakura flower that united the concept that men dying for their sacred Motherland actually became cherry blossoms, because they acquire an unearthly, transcendent beauty, “so pure and radiant!” they become.

Other countries also brought up warriors and patriots, filled with the vision of a separate life as a trivial thing compared to serving the Motherland. But none of them were endowed with such an eerie, terrible beauty as cherry blossoms.

A more practical example of how another culture deals with the same topic is a brief excerpt from a letter that a young French revolutionary fighter wrote to his father in 1792. " Our freedom can only be guaranteed if there is a corpse mattress on the bed.… I agree to become one of them". (Quoted by historian Simon Scham in Citizens: A Chronicle of the French Revolution.) The Japanese would have rightly admired his fortitude, but it is a pity that he was not a poet.

It was, according to Ivan Morris, " one of the strangest and sharpest weapons in the history of war"-" a one-sided glider that comes close to the target even at high altitude, and then dives sharply down at great speed to detonate a warhead on an enemy ship ... the very craft of suicide could disable the ships of the enemy navy, which now ( 1944-1945) besieged the islands of slowly breathing Japan. In addition, the use of such weapons would demoralize foreigners who were not psychologically ready for such methods of war.

This weapon is called eye, in honor of the additional reading Cherry Blossom. The Americans gave it another name - tank bomb or in other words "idiot bomb".

About 5 thousand Japanese military "fell like a sakura flower." The damage they were able to inflict on US and allied ships was negligible. However, as intended, this had a very strong psychological impact, but the result was unforeseen. Hoping to demoralize the enemy, the Japanese did not even think that the Americans decided to use extraordinary methods for a war with such an extraordinary country. And it turned out to be bombs dropped on August 6 and 9, 1945 on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

On August 16, Japan surrendered. On the same day, Vice Admiral Takijiro Onishi, who was the initiator of the Oka terrorist attack, committed a ritual hara-kiri right in his own residence in Tokyo. He was also a poet. " Today in a flower, tomorrow in a scattered wind. “This is our flourishing life. Can we really think that its fragrance lasts forever?»

The celebration of the Chinese New Year is still in full swing, but it is already known that a record number of foreign tourists came to celebrate this holiday in Japan. After this event, the country's hotels and restaurants will have only a month to prepare for another huge wave of tourists who will arrive in March and April to welcome spring and see the cherry blossoms.

Predicting the exact start date of the hanami has always been considered a matter of prime importance for the Japanese travel industry. The popularity of the country is growing rapidly, more and more tourists from different countries want to visit the island nation.

According to the forecasts of Japanese experts, this year the sakura will first bloom in the southwestern part - the cities of Fukuoka and Kumamoto. This will happen around March 25th. They will be followed by cherry blossoms in Tokyo and Nagoya on March 26. The ancient capital of Kyoto will see cherry blossoms on March 29, while residents and tourists in the northern city of Sapporo on the island of Hokkaido will only be able to enjoy cherry blossoms from May 2. As a rule, it takes about a week for the flower to fully bloom.

The forecast is carried out on the basis of constant temperature studies, taking into account the data of the last few months. Usually low temperatures in late autumn and early winter and high temperatures in early spring result in early flowering. As for 2016, this year the terms correspond to the average annual ones.

China's airlines intend to take action to fully enable increased passenger air travel in March and April. It was during this period that there was a rapid increase in the number of Chinese tourists coming to Japan.

According to employees of the Tokyo representative office of China Southern Airlines, they have taken measures to increase the number of places for transporting tourists during the cherry blossom season. In March-April 2015, Japan was visited by 3 million 200 thousand tourists. Among them, about 800 thousand guests are from China.

Japan Hydrometeorological Center will update its cherry blossom forecast every day starting February 24th. If we talk about last year, then the forecast for the beginning of cherry blossom was with an error of three days.

May 5, 2015, 11:57 Cherry blossom planted by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe blooms in Moscow

The cherry tree that Prime Minister Shinzo Abe planted in Moscow two years ago has blossomed. As a sign of hope for the development of friendly relations between Japan and Russia, Abe, while on an official visit in April 2013, planted a tree in a Japanese garden run by the Russian Academy of Sciences. The sapling was taken from a cherry tree planted in the garden in 1986 by his late father, former Foreign Minister Shintaro Abe, who promoted Japan's relations with the former Soviet Union.

Tour operator for Japan KMP Group offers you a wide variety of tours to Japan, from sightseeing tours and holidays in Japan, to business and yacht tourism, spa tours and treatment, as well as family tours with a visit to Disneyland.

Japan- one of the most mysterious countries and it is worth visiting at least once in a lifetime. Despite the fact that the culture of the Land of the Rising Sun was once very strongly influenced by Chinese culture, it is distinguished by its originality and strikes with special aestheticism.

Location and climate of Japan

In many ways, this originality is due to the location of this country. Japan consists of more than four thousand islands, the most important of which are Hokkaido, Ryukyu, Shikoku, Honshu and Kyushu. The country has access to several seas: from the west, its coast is washed by the Sea of Japan and the Korea Strait, from the east by the Pacific Ocean, from the north - Sea of Okhotsk, a South coast washed by the East China Sea.

A fairly large part of the territory of Japan is made up of mountainous regions, and a fairly large number of volcanoes are located on its territory, several of which are still showing seismic activity.

The climate of Japan is also highly dependent on the region. The north of the country has a temperate climate: in the summer months, the air temperature here warms up to +30 C, while winters are quite severe here: the thermometer can drop to -15 C.

A tropical and subtropical climate prevails in the south, which causes high summer temperatures: up to +38 C (in winter about +16 C) and a large amount of precipitation per year.

Popular resorts

Tours to Japan will take you to a special world. This world lives according to its own laws, which have existed for several centuries.

KMP Group specialists have been studying Japan for many years, we travel to this country regularly, but even for us it continues to be a source of new discoveries and inspiration. Japan is a country with a special aesthetics, a special culture and history, here even nature is imbued with some special charm that makes you come here again and again to admire the red autumn maples or cherry blossoms.

The Land of the Rising Sun provides a huge selection of places and attractions. As part of our tours around Japan, we have tried to select for you the most interesting routes during which you will get to know this country, its culture, its past and present better. The Japanese have succeeded in realizing the Buddhist ideal of the "Middle Way": an amazing combination of opposites. Here you will see the harmony of technology and attention to the environment, incredible performance and relaxed detachment, respect for nature and the use of the latest scientific developments.

KMP Group offers you to choose exactly the tour to Japan that suits you. Traveling to Japan can be very different in terms of its excursion program and the duration of the tour. It may be only 3-4 days or several days, it may be different regions of the Land of the Rising Sun, but one thing remains unchanged - a special, incomparable "taste" of travel.

During tours to Japan, you are unlikely to resist the local cuisine, which has already won its fans around the world. An abundance of seafood, specially prepared vegetables and rice, and, of course, Japanese tea, which has become a real ritual - all this is an obligatory part of the program. All this makes it possible to understand how quite ordinary everyday things like making tea or contemplating cherry blossoms can turn into a special sacrament imbued with sacred beauty and timeless meaning.

Tours to Japan combine both traditional Japanese aesthetics with the concepts of "wabi-sabi" and modern metropolitan areas with the latest technology. Moreover, all this is available to you often in the same place.

And, most importantly, tours to Japan are the brightest impressions, positive emotions and touching the centuries-old wisdom of the Japanese people. We guarantee you all this!

Attractions

We recommend starting any acquaintance with Japan from its capital - Tokyo. Here you will see an amazing combination of modernity and tradition. The Japanese tend to respect their culture, nature and all living things in general. This is largely dictated by the influence of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism, the combination of which created the amazing originality that Japan is so famous for.

In Tokyo, be sure to visit Shinjuku Gyoen Park, the Samurai Museum, Odaiba District, the Miraikan National Museum of Advanced Science and Technology, and Tokyo's oldest Buddhist temple, Senso-ji. However, the number of sights of the Japanese capital is not limited to these places, and in addition to Tokyo, you should definitely visit Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Nikko and Kanazawa.

Write to us, we will be happy to help you get to Japan!

Our trip to Iceland ends today. awesome Kirill Balakhtin and Uliana Balakhtina(together they Native Travel Agency) dragged us around the whole island. We saw melting glaciers and plump puffins nesting, cute horses with bangs, piercing blue icebergs and gloomy waterfalls roaring up clouds of water dust. We choked on fermented shark meat and looked into the mouths of killer whales. We warmed ourselves with caraway aquavit and Reykjavik gin (tastes like the cucumber lotion of our childhood).

The guys have a very serious approach to every detail in every journey.

While dreams were being dreamed, Kirill and his Native Travel team decided to arrange an intimate tour (8 people) in a minibus around Iceland. To dispel doubts, Kir without hesitation uttered a couple of names of glaciers in Russian, showed in the photos the eco-houses with thermal jacuzzis in which we will live and promised to bake waffles for us in the morning. In general, sold :))

After the fact, I can honestly say that this was one of the brightest of my travels.

Nastya Kocheva

I live by the principle of never going to the same countries, which is why it was important for me to see as many cities as possible in one trip and beautiful places, and Kirill managed to organize such a tour from the USA!!! For 2 weeks we traveled almost all of America, so many emotions, it seemed that we had been there for a month. We had a small group of girls and thanks to Kirill for putting up with our whims, adapting to our desires, he is a versatile person, and a guide and a driver and a photographer, and a cook and just a fun guy! Personally, I felt very comfortable! I am delighted with this trip, it’s pointless to tell, you have to see it, just go and you won’t regret it 100%!

Natalya Kultau

I have long dreamed of visiting Iceland. I behaved very well and my dream came true :)
Iceland is very small on the map, but huge in terms of the number of picturesque places. Each location is reloaded in appearance by season and time of day. My guide to this country was the Native Travel travel team, whose main advantage was the flexibility between the desire to show us everything and our ability to see everything.
Thanks to the guys for their patience, professional photography, delicious breakfasts and cold beer.

Pavel Chudayev

I went with Cyril to Iceland, everything was super. All organizational issues were resolved by Cyril, and we just watched the beauty and rested. Recommend.

Dmitry Voskresensky

Good and thoughtful guys! We went with them to Japan.
Japan was one of those countries where I wanted to go for a long time .... and then Native!) Everything is very worthy, informative and interesting! This is not for you with the crowd, hanging out on the bus.

Stas Cherkasov

Traveling to Iceland with Native Travel was incredible. If I believed that the world has a Creator, I would say that he collected in Iceland all the most beautiful things in the world. Fantastic landscapes that change every five minutes. Red mountains, black mountains, green mountains, colorful mountains. Lava fields covered with green and gray moss. Clouds that can be touched by hand. Rainbows, an incredible amount of rainbows. Volcanoes, volcanoes, volcanoes. Waterfalls. Lakes. Geysers. Fumaroles. Blue icebergs. White glaciers. Lighthouses. Sheep on top of volcanoes. Furry horses. Seals. Dead birds. Seagulls, seagulls, seagulls. WHALES. Sun, rain, wind, fog (and so on in a circle). We are asked who we went with. Kirill is a man in love with Iceland. Who knows how to get to places that others have never heard of. Excellent driver. An amazing chef who creates culinary miracles on the grill against the backdrop of mountains and oceans. He knows in which restaurant they will serve the most delicious lobsters, still floating in the ocean in the morning, and in which gas station near Reykjavik you can eat the most delicious portion of fish & chips in the country. Reliable, calm, with a great sense of humor. Those ten days with him in Iceland were a real miracle. Thanks to Kirill and his agency!

Ekaterina Gushchina

Traveled in Iceland with NativeTravel at the end of August 2019. The charge is still holding, which is great. I began to think why you recover from one trip, and from another - it would be better not to go. Soulfulness, soulfulness! And sincerity is only the people around you during the holidays. So this sincerity becomes a determining factor in the evolution of the modern tourism industry. All inclusive - rested for me back in the mid-2000s, independent trips often involve a number of risks when you go to a new place, you know nothing and strain to find your city, your restaurant, your beach. And you need to visit one place several times so that it opens up into pure kaif. And so it would have been with Iceland if not for the soulfulness of the man and the ship, which provided a balance between atmosphere, comfort, game, fun, serious topics for conversation and knowledge of the country in general and back streets in particular. I am glad that I discovered the format of personal tours to those places that were put off for a long time because of their “fatness”. Not to be an aboriginal, but to create the effect of a complete sense of nativeness in another country - this is what it is.
Let's go further...

Alexey Pavlov

If you are looking for an indescribable spectacle of nature and want to collect the best yet unspoilt treasures of our planet: lunar landscapes, icy lagoons, unique mosses, desert, black sand beaches, volcanoes, glaciers, waterfalls, fjords, then you need to go a) to Iceland; b) with the Native Travel team. My trip can be called random, in the end - the best. I will definitely never forget the magnificent combination of space nature with a team of sincere people and delicious food! Thanks to Kirill for PP food 24 hours a day, thanks to Ulyana for a casual photo session 24 hours a day. Thanks to the whole group for new emotions and laughter from the heart. Last time I laughed so hard about 5 years ago. I will always remember a photo session in a jacuzzi at sunset. I plan to go again!!!

Victoria Chudaeva

I am very glad that I went with Kirill (Native Travel company) to Iceland. The trip exceeded all expectations. We ourselves would not have seen half of all the beauty. Kirill treats his work with all his heart, tries to make the trip as comfortable and informative as possible, takes into account all wishes both on the route, and on the daily routine and food. While we were soaking in the jacuzzi, Kirill prepared amazingly delicious dinners for us, the products for which he himself had previously bought. And Ulyana also took beautiful photos throughout the trip. Guys, thank you very much! I want to go with you to America and Japan)))

Anna Zhavoronkova

A trip to Japan during the cherry blossom season is not just a visit to this interesting country, but also "immersion" in her inner state, knowledge of her spirit. Sakura (Japanese cherry) is a tree symbolizing Japan, an integral part of its culture. From mid-March until the very end of April, hundreds of thousands of tourists flock to Japan to admire this phenomenon, when all of Japan is buried in pink sakura petals. It seems that everything is shrouded in clouds or light haze. Parks, gardens, alleys, become a place of pilgrimage for residents of the country and tourists. The cherry blossom period is considered a sacred time, in his honor they came up with a special holiday “hanami”, which translates as “contemplation of flowers”. In the world, and especially in Japan, many poems have been written that praise cherry blossoms. In ancient times, sakura was considered a symbol of the harvest, and its flowering indicated that it was time to plant rice. The Japanese firmly believed that nature was inhabited by spirits, and therefore offerings were made to sakura trees. Today, the tradition of celebrating the cherry blossom period has been preserved. People still gather under flowering trees, have picnics and fun until late at night.

The cherry blossom season ends quite quickly, after the first buds open on the trees, the cherries are in bloom from several hours to a week, after which the flowers rapidly fall to the ground. There are 16 species and about 400 varieties of sakura in total. The most famous of them are shidarezakura (blooms with pink flowers) and someyoshino (it blooms with white flowers). The most beautiful Japanese cherry blossoms can be seen in the ancient capitals - Kyoto, Nara and Kamakura. There are also a lot of cherry trees in the modern capital of Japan - Tokyo, because the imperial family brought an ancient tradition to a new place and decorated the city with sakura trees. The province does not lag behind the capitals, because initially a purely aristocratic tradition of contemplating sakura has become popular, even in small towns and villages you can see this cherry orchards.

The time and place of abundant flowering is unpredictable - but it moves like a sea wave from north to south of the country, so tours starting in Tokyo also move south - to Kyoto-Osaka, which allows you to catch abundant flowering somewhere, and if you're lucky, they will move together with this wave. Of course, along the way, tourists will not ignore other sights of Japan - ultra-modern megapoles, ancient palaces and temples, views of Fujiyama and other mountains, get acquainted with the traditions of the Japanese.
