Description of the city beach in Nha Trang. Nha Trang beaches - the most complete list of beaches in the city, around and on the islands, map of beaches

Paragon Beach belongs to the hotel of the same name in the south of Nha Trang and is surrounded by luxurious villas. This beach has a technical origin - it was once a marina for yachts, so the water here sometimes stagnates. However, cleanliness is monitored, so you are unlikely to experience any discomfort.

The beach is fenced off from the sea by breakwaters, and therefore it seems that you are swimming in a pool. The entrance to the water is gentle, there are no waves, the sand is specially brought, incredibly soft and shallow, the water is very warm - the conditions are ideal for relaxing with small children who are always in sight. The atmosphere is quiet, calm, there are few people, apparently due to the distance from the center and the small area.

Unlike other beaches in Nha Trang, located mainly in the central part of the city, Paragon Beach is practically not afraid of storms and big waves(coastal waters are separated from high seas dam that protects from high waves and strong winds). Therefore, it is suitable for swimming at any time of the year and in any weather.

Paragon Beach was built specifically for hotel guests, so the entrance for everyone else is paid - this is a symbolic 20,000 dong (about 60 Russian rubles at the current exchange rate). You will also need to pay for renting a sunbed - 70,000 VND (about 200 rubles). Opening hours are from 08:00 to 16:00. By the way, the sunbeds here are luxurious, some of the best on the beaches of Nha Trang - with soft mattresses, on which you can lie all day.

The beach is suitable exclusively for a beach holiday. You can also sunbathe (but be careful, the sun, especially in summer, in Nha Trang is very strong, there is a high risk of getting burned or sunstroke; use creams with a high sun protection index). In general, there is nothing special to do here, except to rent a jet ski. If you want to eat or drink coffee, then the Coco Surf cafe is open at the beach. There is a restaurant at the hotel.

Not far from the Paragon beach is the famous cable car, which leads to the amusement park Winpearl.

Paragon beach reviews

In their reviews, which tourists usually leave on TripAdvisor, travelers generally speak positively about the beach. The main advantage is its protection from waves (which is quite important in Nha Trang in winter) and shallow depth (ideal for children). However, also they also write about hot season sunbeds and umbrellas for all sorely lacking. The disadvantages also include the lack of changing cabins and the lack of showers.

Weather

The weather in the Paragon beach area is the same as on any other beach in Nha Trang. In these parts, a tropical climate reigns, which is formed under the influence of the monsoons. The weather here is warm and equally humid. In summer, the temperature rises above +30 °C, there are very hot days when the thermometers come close to +40 °C, or even go over this figure. In winter, your vacation will be much more comfortable, as at this time of the year the temperature is usually +26 ... +27 ° С. And, both during the day and at night. Cool days with temperatures below +20 °C are rare in the Nha Trang area.

The water temperature remains suitable for swimming throughout the 12 months. In winter, the ocean warms up to +24...+25 °C, and in summer to hot +28...+29 °C. The main advantage of Paragon Beach is that it is protected from the waves. And when quite strong storms occur in winter, many vacationers rush here.

As for rains, in Nha Trang this phenomenon is not too frequent. The average annual rainfall is only 1100-1200 mm. Most often it rains in autumn. Less likely to happen in the summer. Rains in these parts are short-term, prolonged downpours are rare. Therefore, rains are unlikely to spoil your holiday.

How to get to Paragon Beach in Nha Trang

The beach is located near the center of Nha Trang, so it is convenient to get here by any means. You can walk, drive to public transport or for quite reasonable money - by taxi.

A taxi to the beach from the outskirts will cost about 120,000 VND, a taxi from the center - 60,000 VND (not a minivan). You can order a taxi through the world-famous Uber app on your smartphone or through the more popular GrabTaxi app in Vietnam. You can also order a car by phone from one of the local taxi companies or take a taxi at a special taxi stand in Nha Trang. There are quite a few of them here. You will often have to communicate with drivers on your fingers, since English language few in Nha Trang know.

Another traditional Vietnamese resort the way is to rent a bike and drive along Trần Phú almost to the stop. Landmark - the end station of the cable car.

Finally, you can take bus number 4, which goes to the cable car, and then walk a little, about 15 minutes at a calm pace (1 km).

Beach in Nha Trang, what is it like? It is long. The length of the beach is about 5 kilometers. Wide. Sunbathing tourists do not occupy the entire space. Pretty clean for a city. We like the beach in Nha Trang. On the first day, as soon as they saw him, immediately there was a desire to swim in the sea and lie down on the sand.

Nha Trang beach

The advantage of the beach is that it is surrounded by mountains and islands. It's nice to walk around and see such beauty from all sides. Sun loungers belong to hotels on the coast. But you can rent them if you want. This pleasure will cost about 100 thousand dongs ($ 5).

Where can I order a transfer from the airport?

Sea in Nha Trang: is it possible to swim?

Yes. According to our observations, the optimal time for swimming in Nha Trang is from 8 to 10 am. At this time, the water in the sea is perfectly clean and calm. See for yourself:

The sea in Nha Trang without waves can be found until about 10-11 am

The closer to the evening, the more waves, and from this the water becomes cloudy and becomes brown. Also, by lunchtime, the current takes out the garbage, with which you don’t want to swim at all. After all, it is so unpleasant to touch something in the water when swimming, some bags or cups.

We are waiting for the weather by the sea

Perhaps the waves and the purity of the water in the sea depend on the season. In some months, it is quite possible that the water remains clear all day, but in September and October, the clear sea can only be found in the morning.

There are always fewer tourists in the far left corner of the beach (behind Nha Trang center) and in the far right (towards the cable car to Winpearl).

Who rests in Nha Trang

The contingent of vacationers on the beaches of Nha Trang consists mostly of Russian women 45-60 years old and their husbands. Interesting feature. The second line is occupied by couples with children and, last but not least, young people. Nationalities: Russians 70%, Vietnamese 20%, Europeans, Chinese and other foreign tourists - 10%.

Our observations

For 2 months of living in Nha Trang, we noticed the following features of tourists. Mostly our compatriots who have flown in from Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Chelyabinsk, Perm and other Siberian regions rest here. As a rule, ladies spend their holidays in Vietnam with their children, less often with their husbands. If with a husband, then he usually has a mustache, his face expresses slight displeasure, tense, constrained, dressed in a linen oversized wrinkled shirt and a captain's cap, always a little sloppy.

- For lunch we will take lobsters again, and then we will go to the pearl shop, which the guide recommended
- Don't forget the crocodile skin wallets!

- We'll tell Lyudka where we were - she won't believe it!

The Vietnamese go to the beach closer to 5-6 pm, when the sun stops baking and they can be calm about their skin color. They usually bathe in groups in front of the lifeguard post.

Vietnamese children are most often for some reason ill-mannered, arrogant and noisy, often get under their feet, stepping on them. For we have lost the habit of children's crying and screaming, in Vietnam, children are very capricious and naughty. It was also noticed more than once that the Vietnamese were beating them. This has not been seen in other Asian countries. And one boy was the star of the evening. Parents tried and cut his hair so fashionably that he was different from all children, passers-by could not pass by.

There are no stray bald dogs on the beach

Another advantage of the beach. For a month we have not seen a single stray dog on the beach, which is so accustomed to in other countries. The Vietnamese sometimes relax on the beach with their pets. As in Thailand, in Vietnam, purebred dogs are now in vogue. It is frustrating that the Vietnamese get themselves such small decorative dogs. More than once we observed how children-flayers behave with them. Apparently, they do not understand that a dog is a living organism, not a toy. Yes, and bikes, including on the sidewalks, can be a danger to a small dog.

Some caring owners keep their pets warm, because in October it is +27

Promenade along the beach in Nha Trang

The promenade plays a big role on Nha Chang beach. The embankment is our favorite place in all of Nha Trang because it is the only place where you can safely walk, since mopeds are prohibited on it.

The famous lotus in Nha Trang

View of the hotels from the waterfront

Vietnamese flag on the square near the lotus

In the evenings, dances and chants are often arranged near the local house of culture.

During the day, the square is empty, and in the evening, Vietnamese teenagers change from bikes to skateboards and rollerblades

On the embankment, the atmosphere is relatively calm and there is no noise from the road.

View from the road

We come to the embankment every day. We walk, sit on benches or buy nuts and settle down on the sand.

Photo of the beach from the promenade

Just a few years ago, there was no smell of any ennobled embankment here. And now even the trees are trimmed by designer.

Vietnamese and sports

Toward evening, the Vietnamese occupy the embankment for sports. Look after your figure and health. Someone runs, someone works on simulators, someone just waves his arms with a serious look. Very athletic guys!

Vietnamese do sports

The embankment makes a great contribution to the life of the Vietnamese. This is a place to relax, a place to walk the dog, a place to train and a place where you can gather and eat while sitting on the beach. For us, the embankment has become a lifeline. The only place in Nha Trang where sometimes you don't even want to go home.

Nha Trang beach reviews

For our picky taste, the beach in Nha Trang is very good. It is clean, there is plenty of space, there are no annoying merchants. The sand, however, is not ideal, large and yellow. The water in the sea is clean and transparent only in the morning, by the afternoon garbage appears, the waves intensify and it becomes cloudy. But this is most likely a seasonal phenomenon, in other months it can be cleaner, and we were in September and October. So, they noted for themselves that it is best to swim in Nha Trang early in the morning.

Since Nha Trang beach is public, everyone will rest on it, tourists from expensive hotels, the local middle class, and even occasionally Russian cattle ("tagiil") comes across. Apparently, some highly cultured citizens got fed up with Turkey and headed for exotic Vietnam. But, I am glad that there are only a few of them, basically all our compatriots here are very decent.

Paragon Beach is located in the southern part of Nha Trang. Paragon beach is known for being a beach without waves at any time of the year. When the main beach is stormy, everyone goes to swim at Paragon. You can easily get to Paragon from Nha Trang on your own by bus number 4.

Paragon Nha Trang beach. Photo January

Overview of Paragon Beach

To be honest, there isn't much to see here. The beach is very tiny. The entire beach fit in the photo at the beginning of the article. 10-15 umbrellas with sun loungers, a small strip of pleasant fine sand and a fenced backwater for swimming without waves. That's the whole beach.

A beautiful view of the mountains opens from the sunbeds of Paragon beach

But people come here not for sunbeds and sand, but for a beach without waves. Often in winter and sometimes even in summer it is stormy on the central sea, the water becomes cloudy and takes out the garbage. And on Paragon at any time of the year, peace and quiet.

Most tourists come to Paragon Beach to swim with children, since it is safe to swim in the sea with a child here, there is neither depth, nor waves, nor dangerous currents.

Why are there no waves on Paragon? Firstly, due to the "artificial spit" or stone embankment, which closes the reservoir from the sea. And also here is a bay in which there are no waves, due to its location. The stone embankment and such a peculiar pool, apparently, were supposed to serve as a parking lot for yachts and boats of residents of the local elite village. But then, apparently, it turned out that no one here especially had yachts, so they decided to make a beach.

The left side of the artificial bay. Several boats still moor here

Beach features: paid entrance, no toilet, nowhere to eat

  • Entrance to the beach costs 20 thousand VND ($1)
  • Sunbeds cost 60 thousand VND ($ 3)

The beach belongs to the hotel Paragon Hotel. If you stay at this hotel, then you do not pay for the entrance and sunbeds. If you just came on your own, you will have to pay at least the entrance. It is not necessary to take sun loungers, you can lie on your own bedding. In the high season, there may not be enough sunbeds for everyone. We came here in January, there were free sunbeds.

There are no toilets and showers as of 2017. Also, there are no cafes directly near the beach. There is nowhere to eat and buy some water, you need to take something to eat with you.

Where can I order a transfer from the airport?

We use the service - KiwiTaxi
Ordered a taxi online, paid by card. We were greeted at the airport with a sign with our name on it. We were taken to the hotel in a comfortable car. You have already talked about your experience in this article.

This was not written about in other blogs, but on the main street cottage village, on the territory of which this beach is located, there is one cafe with original title"U Kolya", a restaurant with a Russian menu. It takes about 5 minutes to walk from the beach in a straight line, it is located a little further from the Paragon hotel on the main street.

Embankment with palm trees

A little further than the beach, a concrete embankment was built, where you can take a walk or take pictures with a beautiful view of the bay and mountains. There is no embankment, there is nowhere to sit, there is not a single bench. If only to sit on the edge. Probably, they wanted to do well, but it turned out, as always.

The village of An Vien

As I said above, the beach is located on the territory of the elite village of An Vien. Elite by Vietnamese standards. Yes, the villas are cool, of course, I don’t argue, they are clean and modern. But it seemed to us that everything was somehow untidy and uncomfortable, construction was everywhere, as in Nha Trang. Entrance to the territory of the village is free, at the checkpoint the guards do not ask anything.

Paragon Beach in Nha Trang reviews, pros and cons

I don’t know why everyone praises it so much, but among ourselves we jokingly call this beach a ditch. Shallow, stagnant water, unkempt territory on the sides, abandoned construction site and stones. In our fastidious opinion, Paragon Beach is about nothing. We didn't even go swimming.

If not for the mountains and beach umbrellas, then Paragon beach resembles a river somewhere near Chelyabinsk

But you don’t take our words seriously, since this beach has one indisputable advantage - it is a beach without waves in Nha Trang at any time of the year. Therefore, it is here that you can normally swim with children when there are big waves on the other beaches of Nha Trang. So, if you want to know which beach has no waves, then come to Paragon, but don't expect something special and exotic from it.

How to get to Paragon Beach from Nha Trang

You can get to Paragon Beach on your own by public transport or by taxi. A metered taxi will cost between 60-100 thousand dong.

The bus is cheaper. Just take bus number 4 in the European quarter, which goes towards Winperl (south). Ride up to final stop. The fare is 7 thousand dong, payment to the conductor. If you are asked to leave a little earlier than the final one with the words "Winpearl", then just say "Paragon Beach". When we went to the beach, they wanted to drop us one stop before the final stop near some ticket office where they sell tickets for Vinpearl, but we said that we were going to Paragon.

From the final stop, you need to go a little back, about 50 meters, then turn left and go through the arch and the checkpoint to the village of An Vien. The entrance to the village is free, the guards will not ask anything.

Entrance to the territory of the village of An Vien

As you passed the checkpoint with the arch, you can immediately turn left, walk to the sea, and then along the coast to the beach. Just walk from the bus for 10 minutes walking step.

Thanks to its coves, beaches and crystal clear waters, Nha Trang is rightfully considered the beach Mecca of Vietnam. The coastline stretches the entire length of Nha Trang province and annually welcomes millions of tourists to its sands.

Nha Trang has twice won votes as the place with the most beautiful bays in the world and good beach infrastructure. There are no two identical beaches here. And in this article, we'll take a look at the very best of them, from the bustling Tran Phu to the quieter and more practical. wild beach Bai Dai, which is ideal for those who want to get away from the noise of the city.

Some of the beaches are at a decent distance from the center of Nha Trang, but the trip itself is beautiful. coastline deserves special attention.

The southernmost beach of Nha Trang is Bai Dai (Bai Dai or Bai Zai).

Most northern beach Nha Trang - Doc Let (Doclet or Zoklet).

City beach of Nha Trang - Tran Phu or Tran Phu

Tran Phu Beach can be easily reached on foot from almost anywhere in Nha Trang. Because Since it is the closest beach to the city, it is also the most popular one.

Along the beach is a very beautiful Tran Phu Street. It is lined with luxury resorts, hostels, gift shops, museums and seafood restaurants. Night life it's all over the place here.

From the beach opens beautiful view to numerous islands. Here you can buy an excursion to the islands. I advise you to meet the sunrise or sunset here, it's very beautiful.

There are cons, only if you do not want to relax with fellow countrymen + relatively high prices.

Hon Chong Beach - Wikiwand Hon Chong Beach

Northern extension of the central beach of Nha Trang. Only 5 kilometers separate it from the main beach. The beach is named after the bay of the same name. Hon Chong is 5 minutes from famous towers Po Nagar Cham. It is quiet here and bizarrely shaped stones, thanks to which there are much fewer waves in the bay. This beach is more suitable for families with children.

Hon Chong is the most favorite beach among the locals. They come here early in the morning and in the evening to swim and avoid sunbathing.

The water here is also cleaner than on central beach. The current from the ocean, which brings turbidity from monsoon rains, does not reach here.

Entrance to the beach is free, and if you want to walk in the rock garden, then be kind enough to lay out 22,000 dong. It's worth it, from the height of the stone pile offers a panoramic view of the beach and surroundings.

Hong Chong has a very calm and relaxing atmosphere. There are several small coffee shops and seafood restaurants.

So, have you already settled in Nha Trang using our tips? Then it's time to choose the best beach for your holiday.

The city is located right on the seafront, which makes local beaches almost equally accessible for vacationers with any budget: no matter what star hotel you stay in, the sea will always be nearby - no more than a 15-minute walk. In addition, all beaches are absolutely accessible for visiting - choose any one to your taste.

Nha Trang - Big city, and its 500,000 people could not help but leave their mark on the quality of the water along the coast. In the morning, as a rule, it is crystal clear, but in the afternoon it is cloudy and all sorts of garbage appears from somewhere. In addition, during the rainy season, a sick amount of silt enters the sea from the river, and the water sometimes turns brown. Even when the beach itself looks fairly clean, litter is possible if you like to swim further or snorkel.

In addition, we note right away that surfers have nothing to do here. Even during the rainy season, the water in Nha Trang Bay is blissfully calm. And even unprotected beaches outside the city in the north and south will not please you either. Worthy waves and there will not be.

Nha main beach Trang Beach stretches along the entire city, its length is about 7 kilometers.

It will delight you with clean white sand, blue waters, swaying palm trees and a pleasant promenade. A chic boulevard of coconut palms stretches along its entire length. Under your feet are the smallest fragments of shells, so the water there is clear and clean (most often - only in the morning). The entrance to the sea is quite gentle, without a strong slope.

Since everything actually happens within the city, it is very lively here. sellers sell kites, cotton wool, ice cream and coconuts, couples are walking, children are rushing on roller skates, many locals. Public amenities include toilets and small fountains along the sidewalk to rinse off.

In the middle of the beach there is such a remarkable tower in the form of a lotus.

The beach is municipal and therefore the entrance to it is free. But for sunbeds and umbrellas you have to pay a little. There are two options here: either you just take one of the sunbeds belonging to the hotel (you will be approached as soon as you start to accommodate there), or you go to Gorky Park. There you pay for a sunbed and you can lie by the sea, go for a swim in the pool, eat at one of the restaurants at a discount. About 40-60,000 VND is an ordinary sunbed. Seats in the VIP area with soft mattresses and pillows with towels are already more expensive. Life vest can be rented for 20,000 dong, a mask with a tube - for 30,000.

Where to find the cleanest sea in Nha Trang?

We have already said that the purity of the water off the coast sometimes leaves much to be desired. What to do?

Go to expensive resorts outside the city, such as Six Senses Ninh Van Bay, An Lam Ninh Van Bay, Mia Resort or Amiana. All of them have clean beaches. But these clean beaches, like these resorts themselves, are not even cheap at all.

The easiest and cheapest way out is to take a boat to the nearby islands, where the water is guaranteed to be great. Everything will be fine, except for the usual risks of sailing on the high seas. Every day, many boats depart from the coast, taking away swimmers in exceptionally clear water.

If this option does not suit you, just head along the coast to the north or south. North would be preferable.

The best and cleanest beaches in Nha Trang are located outside the city.

If you move from the very center of the city to the north, then the people on the beach become clearly smaller, it is much quieter and calmer here than in the center, finding a free place is not a problem at all. Around - calmness, relaxation and even some kind of drowsiness. Like in this photo.

We move on. 4 kilometers north of tourist center Nha Trang, passing by the Tran Phu bridge and the Hon Chong cliff, you find yourself on a very quiet and almost deserted stretch of coast. By the way, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. you can get there on a white and blue local bus No. 4. The interval between flights is about 20 minutes, the cost of the trip is 7000 VND.

Since there are few tourists here and the beach is rarely cleaned, unfortunately, you can see some garbage brought by the sea on the shore. But this inconvenience is compensated by calmness and loneliness.

In addition, just south of the Hon Chong cliff there is an excellent seafood restaurant. And if you climb this rock, you will see an amazingly beautiful view of the coast, the city and the bay.

Of the minuses, we note that the entrance to the sea here is not gentle, the depth is large, so this place is recommended only for those who know how to swim well.

And finally, we will move even further north, but only by car.

Doc Let Beach is located 50 km north of Nha Trang. It is much calmer, cleaner and more beautiful than the city beach. Right on the shore, local fishermen will prepare seafood dishes for you at a very competitive price.

How to get here? You can take a taxi, or you can use the blue-white-yellow bus number 3, which leaves from the tourist center. It operates from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., the trip takes just over an hour and costs 24,000 VND. You can stay anywhere on this beach or close to the hotel, where you can rent umbrellas and sunbeds.

And now we explore the southern beaches of Nha Trang.

Bai beach Dai (or Long Beach). Located about 30 km south of the city on the way to the airport. In general, this road itself is very beautiful, the landscapes around are simply magnificent. And the beach is neat, clean and also very beautiful. There are also several small restaurants where you can enjoy delicious and inexpensive local seafood. There is a rental of jet skis, you can ride on water skiing. The beach, as usual, is free, but you have to pay for parking a motorcycle (if you didn’t come by taxi, then there is no other option).

Bai Duong beach is 1.5 km from the city if you move along Tran Phu street. Soft sand, more warm water and it is also much calmer and cleaner here than in the city.

Last but not least, Winpearl Amusement Park also has its own cozy little beach overlooking the city's coastline.

To visit this beach, you need to buy a ticket to the amusement park for 600,000 VND. You get to the island by the longest cable car in the world or by ferry. This beach is next to the water park. And since most visitors to the island came here for entertainment, and not for beach holiday, then it is almost always sparsely populated. You can rent a catamaran, try parasailing and kayaking.

So, the best and cleanest beaches with amazingly clean and clear water in Nha Trang are outside the city. You can get there by bike, but it’s better to take a taxi or a motorcycle, because riding a bike in the heat is not the most pleasant experience. many of these beaches have no security, no showers or changing rooms, and the water is deep enough. So be careful and attentive and ready to take care of yourself on a deserted beach.

In search of the best beach in Nha Trang, the choice is up to you.
