For general safety and convenience, each passenger (except infants) can take with them: 2 pieces of hand luggage (Business class); 1 piece of hand luggage weighing no more than 8 kg (Economy class). Hand luggage must be placed under the seat in front of you or on a shelf above the passenger seat. The total dimensions of hand luggage must not exceed 55x40x20 cm. Passengers with disabilities may carry additional devices in the cabin, provided that safety rules are not violated. Briefcase, laptop, cameras and cameras must be carried in one piece of hand luggage. Excess/Oversized carry-on baggage may be denied at the gate or, subject to space availability, may be accepted in the cabin for EUR 60. CHECKED BAGGAGE

Business class - no more than 3 pieces of checked baggage with a total weight of up to 30 kg are allowed to be carried free of charge.

Economy class - when paying for baggage on airBaltic.com, the fee is EUR 20 / LVL 14 / LTL 70 per piece of checked baggage for a one-way flight, the total weight of all pieces of baggage is not more than 20 kg. At other points of sale, the checked baggage fee will be EUR 30 / LVL 20 / LTL 105 per piece of baggage / one-way flight for passengers not participating in the BalticMiles program or EUR 20 / LVL 14 / LTL 70 per piece of baggage / one-way flight for BalticMiles members, if baggage is paid for together with the ticket, the total weight of all pieces of baggage is 20 kg.

BalticMiles VIP members can carry free of charge: in Business class 5 pieces of baggage (up to 50 kg), in Economy Flex class 3 pieces of baggage (up to 40 kg), and in Economy class - 2 pieces of baggage (up to 40 kg).

BalticMiles Executive Members can carry 4 pieces of baggage (up to 40 kg) in Business Class free of charge, 2 pieces in Economy Flex (up to 30 kg), and 1 piece in Economy Class (up to 30 kg).

If the weight of your baggage exceeds the established allowance, you will have to pay additionally EUR 15/ LVL 10/ LTL 50 per 1 kg for each flight segment. If the parameters of your checked baggage exceed the established norm in terms of quantity and weight, both payments will be applied. The baggage fee is non-refundable. If the flight is operated by another air carrier (the flight number starts with SK or any code other than BT, or the airline code is in brackets next to the flight number), then different baggage rules may apply. On intercontinental flights (for example, to the USA or Canada), you are allowed to carry a certain number of pieces of baggage for free with weight restrictions. If you book your ticket on airBaltic.com and you know that your luggage will exceed airBaltic's limits, pay a flat fee of EUR 50 for an additional 10 kg of luggage per passenger, instead of paying much more at the airport! The excess baggage fee at the airport will be EUR 15 per kilogram per flight segment. This means that on one segment for 10 kg of excess baggage you will have to pay 150 EUR. If you pay 50 EUR at the time of ticket purchase, you will save 100 EUR per segment, or even 250 EUR if your itinerary has two flight segments. Attention! A flat fee applies for each piece of baggage that weighs between 21 kg and 32 kg. If the checked baggage exceeds both the weight and quantity allowable norms, both charges apply.

Oversized baggage

In cases where the size of a piece of checked baggage exceeds 100*50*80, a fee for bulky baggage in the amount of 60 EUR is charged. This flat fee applies to a piece of baggage that weighs up to 20 kg.

Oversized baggage weighing between 21 kg and 32 kg is subject to a fee of EUR 110 per piece of baggage in one direction. This fee includes a fee of EUR 60 for oversized baggage and a fee of EUR 50 for baggage weighing more than 20 kg.
One piece of oversized baggage must not exceed 32 kg.

Each passenger has the right to check in up to 5 pieces of baggage. Please note that the baggage weight of passengers traveling together cannot be combined unless the passengers are included in the same booking.

What are the dimensions of hand luggage in Airbaltic?

On AirBaltic flights, each passenger (except for passengers under 2 years of age) has the right to take on board:

What size luggage can I carry for free?

Airbaltic's baggage rules set a maximum allowable weight of 1 piece, which is 20 kg, and its maximum size is 100 x 50 x 80 cm. The total weight depends on the ticket class:

• BUSINESS - no more than 2 pieces of checked baggage with a total weight of up to 40 kg are allowed to be carried free of charge.

How much is baggage allowance?
