Tours to the Kamala Beach Resort. Kamala Beach, Phuket: hotels, photos, reviews Tours to Kamala Beach Resort Phuket

Kamala Resort and Spa 3* - resort spa hotel, located on Kamala Beach (Phuket Province). It offers a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, as well as parking and Wi-Fi (free). Many tourists consider the Kamala Hotel Resort Spa one of the most best options, chosen by them for accommodation on vacation.

Kamala Beach

Kamala (Phuket) is a beach on resort island, which may appeal primarily to lovers of measured, calm and inexpensive holiday. The cost of staying at a hotel here is much lower than on Karon Beach or Patong. Length coastline is about 2 km. This significantly exceeds the length of the coastlines on other popular beaches in Phuket.

In general, Kamala (Phuket) is a kind of village. So, if Patong can already be compared with Pattaya, then here development is still, one might say, in its infancy. This is partly due to the tsunami that occurred in 2004. The entire island was affected, but Kamala Beach suffered the most.

As already mentioned, the beach is quite spacious and long, which, of course, captivates many. There is no such crowd that can be seen in Patong. Many people like the relative uncrowding and tranquility of Kamala Beach.

Peculiarities

One of the main features Kamala Beach is the Phuket Fantasea (Fantasy show) held here. This is an amazing show based on the story of Prince Kamala. The show is incredibly colorful, it is distinguished by the use of unusual beautiful costumes, the participation of illusionists, acrobats and clowns. But main feature performances are elephants, actively participating in the performance and amusing the audience.

It should be noted that there are practically no Russian tourists here. Holidays here are more suitable for older people and couples with children. Undoubtedly, Kamala will be comfortable for those who do not like noise and bustle.

How to get there?

Kamala Beach is accessible from any of the popular beaches in Phuket. If you discard the option of having your own bike or taxi, you can use by shuttle bus, plying the route to Kamala from Phuket Town. In general, there are several types of bus routes that connect popular beaches.

If you are coming from the city, you need to take the bus at Ranong Market and go to final stop. The fare is 40 baht (71.20 rubles) per person. It is a little more expensive than other beaches, but the distance from the city to Kamala is slightly longer.

Experienced travelers advise tourists, when returning home from the beach, to walk up the road a few hundred meters. Here you can find a wonderful place for memorable photos, similar to observation deck. The view from here is simply stunning.

Description of the beach

Tourists who have chosen Kamala Beach for their holiday speak favorably about the water, sand and degree of cleanliness on the territory. Here, in their opinion, everything is quite acceptable. They note a huge shoal, because of which those who want to swim at low tide have to go very far from the shore.

When the sea is rough and there are big waves, sand rises from the bottom. Some may think that the water is dirty, but this is not true, they say knowledgeable tourists. And yet it is unlikely that you will be able to see the fish at such a time.

Where can I eat?

As elsewhere in similar places, there are many cafes along the entire coastline. The cost of food is average for Phuket. Together you can have a good meal for about 150-200 baht (267-356 rubles). You can also have a snack on the beach with sweet corn, which can be cooked on the grill here.

Kamala Beach: which hotel to choose?

Although the infrastructure of Kamala Beach is far from ideal, as many believe, there are still plenty of hotels here. Particularly popular is Novotel, which locates its comfortable houses directly on the seashore.

The cost of a holiday here is not cheap: from 5,000 baht (890 rubles) per day. This is understandable: this price is justified by the location right next to the sea. There are also Andara Resort Villas, luxury villas whose prices start from 32,000 baht (RUB 56,960) per night!

There are also many small hotels and guest houses located on Kamala Beach. If you wish, you can stay in one of them.

For those who are planning long rest(from 2 months), it makes sense to rent a town house. It is a spacious lodge with many amenities, including a swimming pool. In Kamala, unlike Patong, where everything is more expensive, such housing, according to tourists, can be found for 20,000 baht (35,600 rubles) per month.

Kamala Beach offers a fairly wide selection of accommodation for vacationers. Kamala Resort and Spa 3* is one of the most popular hotels.

The Kamala Resort and Spa is considered by many to be one of the best options in the city.

After Phuket's most famous and crowded beach, Patong, Kamala's long, wide beach is a real treat fresh air. Beach lined with picturesque casuarinas ideal for swimming and relaxing. Even during the rainy season there are people here - though mostly local residents, rather than tourists trying to surf the stronger waves.

Compared to other cities and towns in Phuket, Kamala is more like small traditional Thai village. Of course, there is also a tourist infrastructure (where would we be without it nowadays), but you don’t have to go far to find a secluded place to relax where you can enjoy the authentic Thai food in a modest restaurant, frequented mostly by locals rather than tourists (and this is an indicator of high-quality and inexpensive food). read in full

February 31.2°C 25.9°C 20.3% 4 days (44.6 mm.) 28.9°C 11 o'clock 52m.

This resort region occupies a special place. The former Muslim fishing village suddenly found itself in great demand among tourists. And all because on a crowded island, it was Kamala Beach (Phuket) that turned out to be the most suitable for a relaxing holiday, as if somewhere on Samui or Koh Phangan. It especially attracts travelers who come not for nightlife and dubious pleasures a la Pattaya. It is located in the western part of the island, north of bustling Patong. Luxury hotels there are not so many here, mostly “threes” and “fours”. But let's talk about everything in order.

How to get to Kamala

Arriving in Phuket by international plane or transferring to a taxi or minibus. The latter will cost half as much - about four hundred baht. It’s even cheaper to get to the island’s capital by bus, and from there take another flight to Kamala Beach. Phuket Town is a good transport hub connected to almost every corner of the island. The only problem is that buses run quite rarely, about once an hour. They are blue in color and travel through Kamala and Surin to Bang Tao. The distance to the airport and to Phuket Town is approximately the same - about twenty kilometers.

Why do people go to Kamala Beach?

Phuket is so popular among tourists that it is quite difficult to find a cozy place where the locals are not too spoiled by vacationers and the prices are not so high. But this is where all these bonuses are combined, and there is practically no downside. Therefore, people who stay for a long vacation - at least three to four weeks - flock here. And if during the season the south of this resort can be filled with people - due to the influx of people from Patong - then its northern part still remains a protected area. Although the resort's infrastructure is not very developed, most hotels have everything you need. It is also a paradise for divers. After all, Kamala Beach (Phuket) boasts beautiful coral reefs, located not very far from the coast.

Sea holiday

Kamala is good for swimming and sunbathing. The beach is quite long - it stretches for one and a half to two kilometers along a very picturesque bay covered with palm trees, so there is enough space for everyone. and small. The descent into the water is gentle, but the waves are not very strong. Sun beds and deck chairs are a bit expensive. They are mainly concentrated in the south and center of the resort. There they cost about two hundred baht a day. There is a developed tourist infrastructure, many water activities and massage parlors right on the shore. A little further you can go to any beach bar, order something - and sit on their inventory as long as you want. But in the very north you will have to make do with your own or hotel beach towels. But there are almost no people here, and the water is very clean and transparent. This is because in the north of Kamala beach there are almost no different skis, bananas and scooters. But do not forget that during the rainy season it is dangerous to swim here, because very strong undercurrents begin.

What else is there to do here?

Firstly, this resort is home to the famous Fantasea theme park throughout Phuket, where people come from all over the island. Grandiose performances are staged there, with the participation of not only hundreds of people, but also animals. There is also a wonderful restaurant “Golden Kinnaria”. About his amazing buffet there are legends. To get there you need to buy entrance ticket to the park and pay extra for visiting. Secondly, one of the fashionable entertainments in Kamala is a parachute flight to view the resort from above. And if you don’t dare, you can climb to the top of Khao Phonthurat hill. There's a great one there observation deck, from where you can see the entire Kamala beach, what you can do from there turns out to be amazing. After all, the resort is covered with tropical forests climbing over the rocks.

Where to eat

Even if there are no such grandiose shopping centers with food courts as in Patong, their absence is more than compensated for by various stalls with delicious and fresh Thai food. Besides, main street The resort is replete with restaurants and cafes where you can eat for both big money and not so much. And the beach itself is full of makashnits and other peddlers. French and Italian cuisine is very popular in Kamala, so if you have the budget and want to eat from a real chef, try places like La Carbonara, Basilico and White Orchid. Especially delicious seafood is prepared in the establishments “Rockfish”, “Sweet Dreams” and “Ponds”.

What and where to buy

As already mentioned, there are no large shopping centers here, but there are small shops everywhere. Tourists buy here everything they need for their vacation - mattresses, towels, mats, flip-flops, swimsuits, etc. Souvenirs, simple clothes and shoes are also sold at affordable prices. Since Kamala Beach (Phuket) - reviews confirm this - is the Muslim part of Thailand, then main market opens here on Fridays. Come and you won't regret it. You won’t find so many goodies, including dried exotic fruits, as well as branded items at ridiculous prices anywhere else.

What to see

In the south of the resort there is a rather interesting buddhist temple with beautiful modern murals illustrating the life of Gautama. Nearby there is a cozy park with a memorial to the victims of the 2004 tsunami. It is known that the village of Kamala was wiped off the face of the earth by this terrible disaster, and then completely rebuilt. In addition to the Fantasea Park, where a theatrical and circus performance about the ancient Prince Kamala takes place with dancing, various special effects and a demonstration of ancient Thai magic, you can visit other shows that take place in the Palace of the Elephants. And on Fridays, the most famous bar in the area, Skila, organizes a disco with professional DJs.

Resort hotels

Hotels on Kamala Beach (Phuket) are mainly located along Beach Road. Unlike most resorts on the island, there is no road between the local hotels and the sea, so here you can find hotels on the first line from the sea. Of the luxurious five-star palaces, the most popular are Aiyara Resort, Cape Sienna Hotel and Villas and Naka Phuket. Ayara Kamala is located on a hill, quite far from the beach, but its rooms offer beautiful views, and there is a free shuttle to the sea.

But "Cape Sienna", on the contrary, is located on the ocean. Therefore, all its rooms and villas (some have not only their own kitchens and private pools, but even wine cellars) - overlooking the sea.

"Fours" are usually located across the road from the beach. The best of them are Aquamarine and Swissotel. The latter is interesting because it is located not too far from Phuket shopping center“Jangseylon”, and besides, it has its own mini-water park.

Hotels on Kamala Beach (Phuket, line 1) are also three-star. There are few of them, they are simple, but very functional. An example is the Kamala Beach Inn. The resort also has a lot of cheap guesthouses and apartments, such as Tara Hotel, Baan Hostel and so on.

Thailand, Kamala Beach (Phuket): reviews

This corner of the island is very popular among couples, lovers and young people seeking solitude. The beach is more loved by the French, Germans and other Europeans; there are not very many Russians here. But those who have visited this region call Kamala best place in Phuket. There are few tourists, clear water, white clean sand, and there is everything you need. There is a lot of shade from the palm trees that grow everywhere. There are even semi-wild beaches where you hardly meet people. Besides, it doesn't get boring here. People rest mostly decently. Reviews of hotels in Phuket (Kamala Beach) are very positive. Staying in five-star hotels is called elite holiday, complete relaxation and spending time in luxury style. But there are also excellent reviews about cheaper hotels, especially about the ratio of price, quality and services. In some hotels nice view at sea, in others - all conditions have been created for a romantic vacation or holiday with children. Come!

Sunprime Kamala Beach is a great option for a holiday in Phuket. We recently returned from Thailand and decided not to delay in reviewing it. wonderful place, because I know that if you don’t write right away, you’ll never write. I hope that the review will help someone in choosing a hotel and place to have a great rest and get a lot of positive emotions. We started our trip from Yekaterinburg on December 9, 2018. The plane took off without delays, the flight went well, we arrived at the appointed time and knew in advance that we would fly to Krabi, but we still didn’t know what it was like to get from Krabi to Phuket. But the journey turned out to be very unpleasant; the road took almost 5 hours, with a 20-minute stop. We arrived at the hotel around 3 pm very tired. Registration was quick, we were shown to our room and there we were We saw something that we were very afraid of, because before the trip, we also studied a lot of reviews. We were placed in a room right above the reception, the room was clean, well-groomed, with good bed linen, BUT the view there was far from resort-like - there was a road and a construction site, in addition, there was an air conditioner right above the bed, and this did not bode well. And we, knowing that there was such a shortage of rooms in this hotel, ordered a deluxe room with a terrace. There is a built-in air conditioner, and it doesn’t blow too much, in the right direction. Therefore, we decided to insist on our order and asked to put us in a room with a terrace. The girl re-registered and took us to our room. It was not close, since the hotel area is very large, there are many buildings, 4 swimming pools, everything is beautiful, clean and well-maintained. Our building was next to the sea. The room turned out to smell damp, the sun didn’t get in there, it was made in gray tones and it was somehow depressing, but it was still much better than the road and construction, it was well located and we settled there. The room is clean, has everything you need, shampoo, shower gel, disposable shaving razors, toothbrushes, hats, disposable slippers, light cotton robes. The buildings are arranged in the letter P and form a closed space inside with a green lawn, a small lake with fish, turtles and even geckos. Very pleasant, peaceful landscape. A little further away, closer to the sea, there is a large swimming pool with sun loungers and a restaurant with a bar. The main contingent of vacationers are elderly Germans - calm, balanced, there are very few Russians, they practically have not heard Russian speech. In addition, there are no tourists with children in this hotel and this is a big plus for other vacationers. Calm atmosphere everywhere, in the restaurant, by the pools, by the sea. And it should be noted that this is a hotel for a calm, measured holiday, when everything has been seen and seen and you just want to enjoy the sea and the sun. But for those who want to go on excursions, there are a lot of local tours. operators with reasonable prices. The hotel area is separated from the sea by a small path leading to various cafes and other hotels. To the right (if you look at the sea) there are nearby cafes, the range of dishes is almost the same everywhere, both Thai and European cuisine. If you go left across the bridge, you will come out into a small village with the same cafes and shops. Where there are more visitors, it tastes better. There are 2 Seven Eleven shops, and further away, if you turn left into the alley where there are massage parlors and pass Italian restaurants, you can walk to a decent Big C. Excellent pastries, grilled chicken, hot fish - everything is much cheaper than on the street. By the way, the very first Italian restaurant on this street, where pizza ovens are visible, the pizza itself is simply disgusting (rubber dough, minimal filling, expensive), I do not recommend it. But overall, you won’t leave hungry. Regarding the hotel restaurant, we can say that the breakfasts are not bad, there is everything, including cold cuts and cheeses, eggs in any form, sliced vegetables, salads, delicious yoghurts, a small selection of meat dishes, porridge only with water, juices, coffee, tea, 4-5 types of fruit, but every day the same thing, by the end I didn’t want anything and the baked goods were completely tasteless, except for pancakes. We had dinner once at the hotel restaurant, but didn’t like it - it wasn’t tasty. Fruit can be bought at the market at the main entrance to the hotel on Mondays and Fridays. There is one in the village, but it’s more expensive and the choice is small. The massage was done in a spa center in Patong, where professionals work; they did not dare to trust street massage therapists, although it costs much more, but in this matter it is important that people with medical education do the massage. If you don’t bother with this, then a massage can be done on the beach, in a hotel, or on the street. The most positive emotions are the sea. Kamala clean beach with yellow sand, a very gentle entrance, waves on which you can swing, warm water, what else is needed for happiness. There is everything for those who want water attractions. True, several days were cloudy with light rain, but this did not affect the water temperature. Beach towels can be changed at any time and must be returned before 18:00. In anticipation New Year's holidays the hotel was all decorated, the staff was constantly doing something without disturbing the guests. All requests were immediately fulfilled. The staff does not speak Russian. For a quiet, calm beach holiday the hotel is just super!
