You have 4 ways to choose from:

I immediately liked the idea of renting a car and driving to the Rosa Khutor resort myself, but the following points should be taken into account:

The most successful option for us was to get to the resort on our own (by bus), and take a car on the way back and see the Olympic Sochi. I ordered a car from St. Petersburg with delivery to Rosa Khutor, but I learned in practice how easy it is to get to the resort public transport I decided to save both money and nerves (since I could not find the nearest convenient parking lot). Again, we took bus 105 to the airport and they brought our WV Polo right to the bus stop.
In general, in Europe I use the Economybookings website, but it was in Sochi that I decided to book directly, although I chose the office from this site.
I liked the Beta rent rental office for its loyal prices and the fact that you can rent a car at any time without an additional fee, since we had a flight at night, this was important to me. The deposit is 5000 rubles. for economy class. The agreement is standard. It is better to check the car properly: all chips and scratches are fixed in the contract.
Upon delivery, I did not like the moment with the car wash. The contract states that the car must be clean, we had bad weather and it was raining, how they imagine an absolutely clean car in such weather remains a mystery to me. In general, they withheld 250 rubles from us, making a discount due to the weather. So they have a price of 500 rubles. for washing. Keep this in mind.
Where to sleep?
I think that the hotel should be chosen as close to the ski lift as possible. For price, location and quality - Tulip Inn Rosa Khutor is one of the best. It has 2 buildings, one is a 4 star hotel (Golden Tulip Inn) and the other is a 3 star hotel (just Tulip Inn). We lived in one that has 3 stars, and friends - where 4 stars. Honestly, the difference was only in the presence and absence of bathrobes and slippers and a different lobby at the entrance. We were still very lucky: the standard room we bought by chance turned into a superior room, which could not but rejoice.

In the courtyard of our hotel there was a playground, one of the few in the entire Rosa Khutor resort. This is another plus of Tulip Inn:
Where to eat?
This is probably the sore subject of the whole holiday. The money saved on absolutely everything: air tickets, accommodation, transfers - everything is spent on food. It is expensive, judge for yourself: soup, for example, kharcho will cost you around 500 rubles. Even in the center of St. Petersburg you can find a business lunch for 250 rubles, but here one soup costs 500 rubles!
Of course, in Rosa Khutor there is a Perekrestok grocery store, but it is so small and the prices there, I will tell you, are also too high! Moreover, we noticed that prices change for the same beer literally depending on the time of day, so if you see a promotion, take more! You can and should take a bus to Gorki-gorod for 20 rubles and visit the Perekrestok store in the Gorki-Gorod Mall shopping center. Here are the human prices for everything.

By bus

From December 1, 2018, Krasnaya Polyana is getting closer to Sochi two new routes 105E and 135E are introduced(express). Description of routes
Part of the public transport routes on the section from Adler to Krasnaya Polyana pass along the beautiful old Krasnaya Polyana road, which stretches along the banks of the Mzymta River. Although there are no sharp turns, if you or your children are prone to motion sickness, try to position yourself at the front of the bus. If the bus is hot, go up to the driver and ask them to turn on the air conditioner - all buses are equipped with them. Express routes travel on a new road.
Although in general the buses run very frequently throughout the day and there are no particular problems with transport, unfortunately the timetables are not always exactly followed and nothing can be done about it. It happens that one of the buses does not go to the flight. Therefore, we do not recommend relying heavily on the last flights if you need to get from Polyana to Adler, Sochi, or vice versa. If you do not have a fallback option ( , ), then we advise you to plan a trip at least on the penultimate flight.
