“Scarlet Sails” with a golden tint: Who and how makes money at the country’s main graduation ceremony. “Scarlet Sails”: Where is the best place to watch Where is the best place to watch the Scarlet Sails festival

The event, according to a long-standing tradition, is held during the White Nights and is dedicated to the holiday last call. Program " Scarlet Sails"is one of the most colorful and vibrant events in all of Russia.

The Scarlet Sails festival program this year, as usual, will give you the opportunity to watch a colorful show and listen to popular performers.

Program for the Scarlet Sails holiday:

June 23, 2018:
- from 20:00 to 22:00 - gathering of graduates for Palace Square and spectators on the Spit of Vasilyevsky Island;
- 22:00 - theatrical prologue on Palace Square;
- 22:20 - start of concerts on Palace Square and on the Spit of Vasilyevsky Island.

June 24, 2018:
- from 00:40 to 01:00 - water and pyrotechnic show on the Neva, fireworks to classical music;
- 00:50 - passage of the Swedish sailing ship “Tre Kronor of Stockholm” with scarlet sails, referring viewers to the work of the same name;
- 01:10 - continuation of concerts on Palace Square and the Spit of Vasilyevsky Island;
- 04:00 - end of the show.

This year, Basta, Alekseev, ST, Alsou, Marie Crimebreri, Artem Pivovarov, Victoria Daineko, Moya Michelle, Quest Pistols Show, as well as the star of the show “The Voice” Rutger Garecht will perform at the “Scarlet Sails” festival in St. Petersburg.

These are the artists this year that were chosen by the 2018 graduates themselves.

Exactly at 10:00 pm the introductory part of the program starts on Palace Square. After 20 minutes, the concert begins there, which will last more than 2 hours. Guest stars will perform for all guests of the event.

The water and pyrotechnic program will begin after midnight: at 00:40. It will unfold before the eyes of spectators in a water amphitheater over an area of three kilometers. Against the backdrop of city buildings, palaces and temples, this spectacle will become even more attractive and large-scale. For some time, the Neva will turn into a springboard for a fabulous action that many people in the world want to see.

The show doesn't last very long - twenty-one minutes. However, during this time the St. Petersburg sky will be illuminated by fifty thousand salvos. We can say that the heavens will literally bloom with fiery flowers. The light show will be accompanied by music.

At the end of the program, the “Secret” ship will appear - a ship with scarlet sails. It will pass along the river bank accompanied by musical accompaniment. The fireworks display will still continue at this time. For seven years now, the role of a fairy-tale ship has been played by the Swedish sailing ship Three Crowns.

The concert will continue after 1 am, and the event itself will end only at 4 am.

It is important to note that access to the Scarlet Sails concert is only possible with invitation tickets. Graduates, parents of graduates, and school teachers could receive them. Tickets are ordered by school management and issued before June 22, 2018.

"Scarlet Sails" - business card St. Petersburg. Every year a fabulous show takes place for school graduates, when Dvortsovaya, Trinity Bridge, Dvortsovy Bridge, shore Peter and Paul Fortress decorated with thousands of multi-colored lamps, torches on the Rostral columns light up, and the sounds of favorite melodies flow over the Neva. And a fabulous brig with scarlet sails appears. Tears well up in your eyes, something turns upside down in your soul, and you remember your unfulfilled childhood dreams... The amazing sight leaves no one indifferent.

In 2016, the stage on Palace Square was a huge luminous bridge, symbolizing the transition from past to future, from childhood to adulthood.
Famous artists and musicians congratulated the graduates. The host of the show is Ivan Urgant.

On the day of the holiday, it is almost impossible to get to the embankment and look at the brig with Scarlet Sails.

Guests of St. Petersburg often ask the question: “Where is the best place to watch Scarlet Sails?” If you are staying at a hotel, you can talk to the administration about purchasing an invitation ticket to the Scarlet Sails holiday. You can buy it from hand or on the Internet, but here you need to beware of numerous fakes. It is advisable to arrive early with an invitation card and take a closer seat.

There is a free option for those who do not like large crowds and do not want to take up space for several hours. The day before the performance there is a rehearsal, and you can watch the final run of the sailboat twice, usually at 22-30 and 23-30.

Go to the cafes located on pontoons near the shore and get a wonderful overview of everything that is happening!

If on the day of the Scarlet Sails holiday you walk along Nevsky Prospekt in the hope of seeing a show on the embankment, then the following picture awaits you near the Moika:

You can, of course, listen to the concert standing not far from Palace Square, but the view is depressing...

Having walked along the entire Moika, thousands of people gather on the Champ de Mars to watch the tops of the masts moving between the buildings for 5 seconds.

For most of those who want to attend the Scarlet Sails festival, the phrase “entry is strictly for graduates, by invitation” sounds like “it will be a little difficult, but you can get a ticket.”

One of the reasons why non-graduates are so eager to get there is the autonomy of the main summer holiday. The second reason is, of course, the grandeur of the water performance and the concert of favorite artists on Palace Square.

It should be noted that entry to ordinary spectators is closed only to Palace Square itself; no one is forbidden to listen to music and watch shows from the adjacent territories. But the forbidden fruit is sweet, and no one has canceled economic theory. So, Life offers eight ways to spend the night of June 25-26 among a crowd of graduates.

1. View from the Spit of Vasilyevsky Island

The easiest and, most importantly, affordable way is to enjoy the water performance from the spit of Vasilievsky Island (or from the nearest embankments). Perhaps girls should give up high-heeled shoes, because best places will go to those who arrive early. And your loved one won’t give you a lift - some sections of roads and bridges in the city center will be blocked during the holiday.

2. Climb onto the roofs of neighboring houses

By default, this method is available to residents of houses adjacent to Palace Square. If you are not one of them, there is nothing else left to do but turn to roofers (roof climbers) who will help guide you there as a friend or as part of an excursion group.

The cost of tickets for such “excursions” on the eve of “Scarlet Sails” starts on average from 1.5 thousand rubles per person. It is worth noting that this method is far from safe: as in previous years, the police promise to check all the roofs and attics of the Central and Petrogradsky districts of St. Petersburg and prevent people from watching the fireworks from there. Otherwise, those walking on the roofs will interfere with the peaceful sleep of the residents of the upper floors.

3. Buy a boat excursion

Perhaps the most popular method among tourists, despite its high cost. Walking on ships at night under open bridges is incredibly romantic, and on the Scarlet Sails holiday, when fireworks illuminate the waters of the Neva and a stunning light and pyrotechnic show begins around, it’s simply “space.”

The price range varies - it all depends on the class of the vessel and the program on board. On average from 2.5 thousand rubles per person. Tickets for boat trips sell out quickly, so it's worth worrying about this in advance. The same goes for binoculars, since not a single ship will be able to get close to the brigantine.

4. Buy an invitation card

One of the most common and unsafe methods. Alumni's plans for this night often do not coincide with the holiday program, so young people with a light hand and a pure heart put their tickets up for sale. According to offers on Avito, you can get the coveted ticket in exchange for 1-1.5 thousand rubles.

Unfortunately, on the website you will not find information about the integrity of the seller, which means that when buying such a ticket, you can easily encounter scammers. Please note that 2016 tickets, in addition to other levels of security, are equipped with special perforation.

5. Rent an apartment nearby

If you are smart and save a little, you can ensure yourself quite comfortable leisure time and a chic look. Apartments with a view of the epicenter of events will cost an average of 4.5 thousand rubles per day.

6. Sign up to volunteer

The work of volunteers at “Scarlet Sails” cannot even be called work. The functions of young people include:

a) act as concert spectators in the fan zone on Palace Square; b) be a spectator on the spit of Vasilyevsky Island; c) check tickets before the concert (after checking the tickets, these volunteers will be able to choose one of the two venues indicated above); d) participate in a mise-en-scène with a famous musician on the embankment during a television broadcast.

There are also disadvantages: there is an age limit for volunteers - from 16 to 25 years. 7. Enter from the “back door”

Regulars of the Scarlet Sails festival say that they have more than once made their way into the closed area through fences in the courtyards adjacent to the arch of the General Staff Building. Unsafe, but exciting.

8. Cry in front of security

The show for graduates "Scarlet Sails" is a big holiday for the whole city. They are going to see the famous frigate local residents and tourists from all over the world. Where to watch the culmination of the evening?

1. hotel "St. Petersburg".

View rooms at the St. Petersburg Hotel are one of the best vantage points where great view to the ship and festive fireworks over water. That’s why many fans of “Scarlet Sails” book rooms with a view of the Neva almost a month in advance. Thus, if you manage to get to the hotel on the coveted evening, consider that you have taken a place in the front rows.

2. panoramic restaurant "Bering".
Petersburg embankment is conveniently visible from the window of the panoramic restaurant "Bering". On a festive summer evening, the menu includes a special gastronomic set from brand chef Dmitry Shcherbakov. You should take care of booking a table in advance.

3. exchange bridge.
On Vasilyevsky Island The best way to watch the holiday is from the Exchange Bridge. From here you will see the water area in lights and fireworks above it. Arrive a couple of hours before the show starts to get the best seats.

4. restaurant in the palace of Grand Duke Vladimir.
In the palace you will feel like you are in a fairy tale. The chic interior of the restaurant takes guests back several centuries, but traveling back in time will not prevent you from being in time for the start of the festive action. You can admire the frigate and the light show from the windows of the palace.

5. Peter and Paul Cathedral.
Definitely, Hare Island is the main one observation deck evenings. Many people will gather at the walls of the Peter and Paul Fortress to applaud the passing frigate. Here you can take beautiful pictures as a souvenir. But the best shots will be obtained if you shoot from the windows of the Peter and Paul Cathedral. Plus, the building is not that difficult to get into. All you have to do is book a table at Koryushka, then security won’t have any questions.

6. frigate "Grace".
So, if you don't want to be among the crowds on the shore, head to Grace to watch the holiday show from the water. It's very spectacular. The cost of dinner on a festive evening will be quite reasonable.

7. restaurant complex "Flying Dutchman".
The Flying Dutchman on Mytinskaya embankment is located closest to the epicenter of events. Those who want to look at “Sails” in detail will definitely enjoy an evening in one of the “Dutch” restaurants.

8. palace bridge.
Do you want to watch the festive show from one of the city's main bridges? Then come to the palace a few hours before the start of the event and take your seats. Closer to X o'clock the police will block the passage to this observation point.

9. Taiga space.
From the roof of the creative space you will see a performance in all colors: the lights of the night city, a cheering crowd, music, a fabulous frigate, and, of course, fireworks. You should find out in advance from the Taiga administration whether it is possible to become a roofer for one evening. - embankment Dvortsovaya, 20

“Scarlet Sails” is undoubtedly a beautiful and spectacular phenomenon, and perhaps, having looked at it ten years ago, right now you will experience a strong desire to update your impressions. TV is not the best assistant in this matter. With your own eyes, it’s somehow more interesting. But if your age no longer allows one to suspect that you are an average graduate, then you most likely will not want to juggle your elbows in a crowd of spectacle-hungry people. You’re also unlikely to climb onto the roof of a jet ski, although they offer that too. the site decided to figure out whether it is possible to look at this annual phenomenon with comfort if you have already achieved something in life and can afford something more expensive than fake invitations to Dvortsovaya.

The ideal and probably the simplest option for those who want to look at the “Scarlet Sails” in comfort from the window of some cozy room would be to rent hotel room overlooking the Neva. The St. Petersburg Hotel, located on Pirogovskaya Embankment, could be perfect for this. But the option is so obvious that there are no empty rooms left in the hotel for a long time. It was necessary to reserve rooms at least a month or two in advance. But there is still the opportunity to book a table in the panoramic restaurant “Bering”, located in this hotel. The restaurant says that this can be done without prepayment, however, if the company is not very large. But a perfect view from a restaurant window at a show is not guaranteed.

Since things didn’t work out with the hotel, we decided to move to Palace Embankment, there are plenty of buildings there, and we’ll probably be able to negotiate with someone to admire the fireworks and a boat with bright sails passing along the Neva for a reasonable (or not so) fee.

Perhaps the first thing that the gaze of even a person who knows almost nothing about St. Petersburg (for example, who has just arrived in the city to admire the White Nights and “Scarlet Sails”) could be caught on is, of course, the Hermitage. From there, looking at “Scarlet Sails” is the sweetest thing. But, unfortunately, it closes at 18:00 - that's it. Organizing an evening visit or night excursion impossible. At least that's what we were told over the phone. Perhaps someone you know has other friends who know someone who has different information. We don’t want to hint at anything, but we have to admit: the night watchmen (or what are they called? caretakers?) in the Hermitage can boast of the most magnificent view of the “Scarlet Sails”.

The next quite pleasant place to view could be a restaurant in the Palace of Grand Duke Vladimir, on Palace Embankment, 26. But it is already fully booked for the duration of Scarlet Sails. On the phone they say: there are no places at any price.

The House of Scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences is also located at the same address, but its premises also cannot be rented in order to quietly observe what is happening in the Neva waters. Again, we are not hinting at anything, but becoming a scientist for one night would be just what we need.

Vash Address LLC is trying to sell the premises of the neighboring building for offices, but for some reason they are also not ready to rent out the empty rooms there for just one night.

The Taiga art space is located at 20 Dvortsovaya Embankment. Many creative shops, workshops, and even the studio of a radio station found refuge there. Surely one of them would not mind renting out a room that is not used at night. It turns out that this is also impossible: during the Scarlet Sails, all premises - according to a separate clause in the contract - are occupied by the owners of the building. Talk to them, they say.

The premises of the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts and the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, located in houses No. 18 and No. 8 on Palace Embankment, are also not rented out even to very wealthy people. Maybe it's for the better.

Trying to find a suitable apartment in residential buildings Palace Embankment, we contacted several agencies involved in daily rental apartments There they threw up their hands and answered: “Nothing about “Scarlet Sails”.” If we had gotten around to it a little earlier, the choice of apartments with windows overlooking the Neva would have been quite wide.

The building at the very beginning of the embankment is occupied by the St. Petersburg Institute of Culture and Arts. the site also asked its representatives a question about the possibility of renting premises. It turned out that everything is possible, but only theoretically. The process of coordinating a lease usually takes about six months, that is, it was worth worrying about this issue around December.

It would be possible to sit down somewhere near the Peter and Paul Fortress, for example in “Koryushka” - there is both a view and comfort, but on June 20 the restaurant is not open, as the administrator politely reports on the phone “due to safety precautions”. But you can try to take a seat in “Eurasia” on the Makarov embankment, however, table reservations are not available during “Scarlet Sails”. But the place itself is open, and if you can somehow manage to cope with the others who want to watch the show, you can get yourself a seat.

Not much less pretentious than the Hermitage and Peter and Paul Fortress, the Exchange building on the V.O. Spit is also not an easy option. Technically, the Exchange is empty now, and there should be only guards there. But, of course, you can at least ask.

Since it is not so easy to calmly watch the reddening sails and fireworks from land, it seems that the last option remains - to watch from the water. This is also not an easy task: during the graduates’ holiday, the Neva water area is closed. But rental companies water transport, they claim that it will be possible to see the show from the side of Smolnaya Embankment, where the ship can approach. To do this, you can pay for a two-hour boat trip, which will cost 2.5 thousand rubles per person. True, the ship will have to be shared with others who want to see what is happening and hope that they will not be the same cheerful graduates.

Those who find this option not great enough will still be able to rent an entire ship at a price of 7 thousand rubles per hour (although they will give it for at least 4 hours) or even a yacht for thirty thousand per hour (with the same minimum period rent). True, employees of companies renting out yachts and boats hint in every possible way that someone else can take the transport at any moment and you need to hurry. Either the boats are really running out, or experienced sales specialists are trying to persuade the client to make a decision as quickly as possible.

But for those who suffer from excess money and don’t like water, there is another bad news: you won’t be able to watch the “Scarlet Sails” from a bird’s eye view, sitting comfortably in a helicopter cockpit. The reason for this will be the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, which coincides with the alumni holiday, during which airspace closes over the city.

It turns out that those who remembered the existence of the holiday only now, regardless of financial capabilities, do not have many options. In any case, you will either have to jostle on the embankment, or fight for a place in one of the few restaurants still available for booking, or watch what is happening from the water. Or maybe it’s better to wait until next year and then, in December, start negotiating the rental of premises on Palace Embankment.
