About development

So, at the beginning of autumn last year it was announced that a new air carrier was being created, which was called Fly One. It will operate like a regular low-cost airline, that is, in a low-cost format. However, the company really began to actively develop only in the spring of this year, that is, the 16th. She delivered tourists and other public to the island of Rhodes, Antalya, and Heraklion. All this was done by concluding a certain agreement with some travel agencies. Gradually the company developed and in the summer of the same year it already began to carry out regular and charter flights to Russia and European countries.

About directions

As for flight destinations, Fly One regularly operates flights to the main cities of Russia. In addition, the company regularly flies to English, Irish, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese cities.

About service classes

Anyone who decides to use the services of Fly One has the opportunity to choose one of the economy classes for the flight. There are three of these in total.

1) The first one is Standard. In this case, the passenger will not be able to replace or return the ticket if desired. The possibility of free baggage transportation is also excluded. However, passengers are allowed to take one hand luggage per passenger seat. Its weight should not exceed eight kilograms, and its total dimensions should not exceed 115 centimeters.

2) The second one is Loyal. In this case, the passenger does not have the right to have his baggage carried free of charge. However, he can, if necessary, return the ticket or change the time and date of departure. However, the passenger will have to pay a certain fine. As for the conditions for transporting hand luggage, they are the same as for Standard.

3) The third is Advantage. It almost completely lacks all the restrictions that were mentioned when describing the two previous classes. Also, the passenger can not only take hand luggage weighing up to eight kilograms into the cabin, but also receives the opportunity to transport free luggage, the weight of which does not exceed twenty-three kilograms with total dimensions of 158 centimeters.

The company can also provide you with additional space. However, you will have to pay for this service.

It is also worth noting that absolutely all passengers, no matter what class they fly, are provided with food and various drinks.

About baggage rules

Well, now let's take a closer look at the rules for carrying baggage with Fly One.

So, if a passenger flies in Advantage class, then one baggage is allowed per adult, the weight of which does not exceed 23 kilograms. Its total dimensions should not be more than 158 centimeters. If the passenger is still a child, then he can carry 10 kilograms of luggage and a folding stroller for free.

Those flying Loyal class will have to pay for baggage allowance. For the first piece of luggage you pay ten euros, and for all subsequent ones it’s thirty. As for children, they can carry one piece of luggage up to ten kilograms, as well as a folding stroller.

If the passenger chose the Standard class, then in this case he will have to pay twenty euros for the first piece of luggage, and forty for all subsequent ones. With luggage for children, everything is the same as in other tariffs.

It is worth adding that the maximum size of luggage should not exceed 158 centimeters. This number is calculated by adding up the height, width and thickness of the luggage bag. Note that when transporting sports and fishing equipment, bicycles, size does not matter.

Absolutely all passengers can take up to eight kilograms of hand luggage into the aircraft cabin.

But animal lovers should know that Fly One airline allows pets. However, this service is not free at all. Its cost is forty euros.

Tariffs for transportation of excess baggage:

I bought a ticket for charter flight as part of package tour to Turkey from travel company TUI (Tui).

Check-in for the flight went without any problems, the delay was only due to the reluctance of some passengers to understand that the baggage allowance in economy class is 20 kilograms. Moreover, each passenger must have his own suitcase because the number cannot be added up, even if you are flying alone with your spouse. That is, the norm will still be 20 kg per person, and not 40 kg. in one suitcase for two. Unintelligible passengers cursed, and the line waited.

The rules are not made by those who check passengers in for the flight, so there is no point in pouring out negativity on people following their job descriptions doesn't make sense. There are only two options: either bring the weight of the suitcase back to normal, or pay extra for the excess weight. The airline's website indicates baggage and hand luggage allowances, and you can always check this information with your tour operator.

The hose was not supplied to the gangway; passengers were taken to board by bus. We flew on a Boeing 757.

The aircraft cabin is clean and tidy. The chairs are comfortable, wide and fabric upholstered. The distance between the seats is not enough. There was a wire (stiffening rib) running through the pocket of the chair in front; for my height of 176, it was a little in the way, resting on my knees if I kept my legs straight. But in general it is not critical.

The flight attendants and steward are friendly and helpful. We were constantly in contact with passengers, helped to place luggage, solved minor conflict situations, which invariably occurs between passengers (someone occupied the entire luggage rack, someone mixed up the seat, someone reclined the seat while eating, etc., etc.).

The captain of the ship periodically went on air and reported flight information, temperature overboard and the weather at the arrival airport, and also warned about areas of turbulence and the possibility of a slight bump during approach due to the wind. From his timbre of voice and manner of presenting information, there was confidence that everything was under control and there was no reason to be afraid. Everyone we encountered was professional and friendly.

Some time after takeoff, we were offered 3 types of Dobry juice, sweet and unsweetened sparkling water and still water.

The food on board was poor, but not terrible, as some say. The lunchbox was filled with dry rations, consisting of 1 cookie (like Kurabye), a bag of salted Shturval peanuts, 1 Artek waffle and 1 Raspberry waffle. In addition to this, tea/coffee, lemon/milk, sugar were offered.

I wasn’t particularly worried about food, but for those traveling with children or people with allergies, meals (or rather snacks) are completely unsuitable and it’s better to take extra care of food.

Of course, we asked if the food on I Fly flights is always so poor? To which we were told that the food is ordered by the tour operator and, as a rule, on TUI charters the food is exactly like that.

The flight went well and the landing was good. The crew and crew of flight attendants did an excellent job. The salon and restrooms are clean. The food is rather weak, but I think that considering the budget, overall this is a pretty decent carrier. I will use their services again if the opportunity arises. I recommend it.
